This month, we delayed our rewards due to a situation that popped up right at the end of the month. A couple of major players in our community had some accusations thrown at them by Hivewatchers, along with some other users. I’m not going to delve into it too deeply; rather, I will leave the relevant links right here and right here for you to peruse.
At this time, one user remains active on the blockchain, primarily through Threads, while the other appears to be powering down and leaving the platform. The one using Threads will no longer be writing long-form content. Additionally, her short-form content is completely original and unique to her.
Based on our current policies, we do allow AI-generated long-form content to be posted as long as it is attributed. We may not necessarily curate it, however.
As far as short-form content (such as Threads or comments), we do allow AI-generated content. It’s short-form – and this is one area where I won’t put any restriction on content aside from blatant spam, plagiarism, and illegal content. We frankly should treat this as a different form of content creation compared to long-form.
Thus, I currently made the decision to permit the active user to have rewards in terms of increased curation from @fc-leo-curator in lieu of HSBI rewards (since this user will not post long-form, and thus not benefit from HSBI).
The inactive user will not receive any rewards because they appear disinterested in continuing to use this platform; additionally, they did not attribute the use of AI in their posts (but implied that it is useful). Should this user decide to return, I would be willing to reopen the topic of rewards.
This decision has not yet been implemented, and I wanted to run this idea by the community first. What are your thoughts on this decision?
I will be sending out the rewards soon (and I’ve had the funding prepared for over a week by now), but it was important to sort this out before we sent out rewards. Due to the activity of these two users, the difference is quite substantial!
