Over the course of last year, the FreeCompliments Community has created several consistent jobs that pay out in HSBI. We’ve kept a payroll that has helped with the productivity and growth of the community. Here, I present a position that just opened up!
Using the HSBI (Hive Stake-Based Income) model to pay employees allows them to receive permanent income as long as they keep creating posts. This means that even if they work for only a month or so, they’ll have a lifetime income, in the form of votes, as a result of the HSBI Units they receive, provided they keep posting to Hive.
Once again, this job posting comes as an unfortunate effect of an individual who decided to leave the job without telling me. I truly don’t understand this behavior – it simply puts me in a difficult position for a period of time, with no benefit to the person who leaves. At any rate, I’m now opening up two positions:
The First Position: Threads Curator
This job is involves being a Threads Curator on the InLeo UI. You would use the @fc-leo-curator account to perform this job. This account currently has 204,000 LP (201,000 delegated from InLeo), so there’s a lot of power to be used efficiently.
Your job will be to upvote all content that you can find on Threads with the #freecompliments tag, as well as upvoting all people who respond to the mentalhealthinitiative threadcast that’s posted every day, plus the daily complimenting threadcast (the mental health threadcast is easy to find: it has the tags #freecompliments #mentalhealthinitiative and #threadcast; the other one you can find under my account or by scrolling).
We’ll discuss the details of how to curate different types of content, but in essence, content which is relevant to the tag (i.e. actual compliments, motivational content, mental health content) and shows original thought and effort gets the highest curation, while irrelevant content that uses the tag gets the lowest curation. The target Leo voting power is 70-90% at the end of the day (with some fluctuations permissible for busier vs. less busy days).
Finally, you’ll choose one thread that’s your favorite, ideally every 1-2 days, and create a post in the FreeCompliments Community to give it some attention (I have already crafted the format, so all you have to do is copy it and insert the thread). You’ll also send a 1 HSBI reward for your chosen winner.
This post will serve multiple benefits: help build the connection between InLeo and FreeCompliments, highlighting quality content, encouraging users to post quality Threads using the #freecompliments tag, increasing views, providing an opportunity for this account to get curated so that it can be used to grow the FreeCompliments Community, and providing you an opportunity to earn additional liquid income. How will it provide you additional liquid income? You’ll be a 10% beneficiary for every post that you create!
Additionally, you’ll also talk about these posts on Threads so that it may get additional curation from the @leo.voter account. You’d use their formatting recommendation for a threadstorm in order to highlight the post, and occasionally drop a link under the leocuration account’s threads for stake-based voting. This would help grow the account over time.
The Second Position: Backup Threads Curator
You’d essentially be on backup in case the primary Threads Curator is unable to perform their duty for a period of time longer than a few days. You’d assume the same responsibilities as the primary threads curator, as per the description above.
The payment offers
The primary position will earn 20 HSBI per month PLUS 10% of each post that’s created PLUS 50 Leo Power which I’ll stake directly to your chosen account. Increases may be made depending on how much our Threads increase over time.
The backup position would earn 5 HSBI per month while on backup duty. If called for duty, you’d receive an equivalent pay to the primary position prorated based on how long you’re taking over (all of the aforementioned benefits included). This would be in addition to the aforementioned 5 HSBI per month.
Continuing to build Hive’s economy by adding different types of jobs
The additional creation of jobs with various structures permits the expanding use case of Hive as a payment for services, in line with Hive’s function as a medium of exchange. Creating multiple types of jobs using a similar payment system provides an initial basis for what can be considered a fair payment, thus establishing Hive as a unit of account. The more jobs are created with Hive, the more we will validate its practical value. Once this happens, we will more readily be able to establish a consistent value of assets in terms of Hive, since it will be attached to work requirements; this will establish Hive’s store of value. Combining all of these factors will turn Hive into functional money.
An economy must be built upon functional money. This is why we must take steps to ensure that Hive can, indeed, function as intended. Let’s continue creating different types of jobs and establish Hive’s practical value with practical use cases.
Conclusion
In order to help the FreeCompliments and help continue the validation of Hive and HBD as valid forms of money, this is a dual job posting using HSBI with a unique structure of payment. Let’s continue building both the community and bringing value to the Hive economy.
