Kathryn Bigelow in hostile land ~Women Wednesdays~

Hello friends of the community @hive-140084, Today I wanted to talk about a current woman, Kathryn Bigelow. Normally in these articles I talk about women who have made history and whose life history has already ended but that is not the case today. I wanted to show a woman who has done but continues to do extraordinary things in a world, Hollywood, that is really useful to her.

Kathryn Bigelow was born in California on November 27, 1951. She studied at Columbia and had a small career as a painter. But it seems that that didn't quite satisfy her. She is a woman of action who does more action than becoming a police officer. If it's not a joke, she was a police officer before dedicating herself to film. Maybe that's why her movies are focused on action movies and also horror movies.

One of her first successes was the horror film Near Dark (1987) but the first film that made her known to the general public was Point Break starring Patrick Swayze and a very young Keanu Reeves. From there she has had many successes. Some forming a couple with James Cameron with whom she was married for 3 years. She has directed almost all the prominent actors in Hollywood and her name is synonymous with success in the industry.

She won an Oscar for best director in 2010 for The Hurt Locker and today she continues with a multitude of projects.
Kathryn Bigelow has shown that even if you are in a hostile land you can always emerge victorious if you try hard.
