Taurus ♉️

Taurus is a zodiacal type constellation, which means. That the sun's annual path passes through it.

We all know the zodiac sign ♉️ is the second spring sign of the zodiac.
It's a beautiful constellation.

The main star of this constellation is considered to be the star - Aldebaran.

The name of this star comes from the Arabic word الدبران (al-dabarān), - which translates as the pursuer, or the one that follows (after the Pleiades).

The Pleiades is a star cluster that is located on the "neck of the zodiacal calf".

In Western culture, the star Aldebaran was called the "Eye of Taurus" (Latin: Oculus Taurī) because of its location on the "head" of Taurus.

Aldebaran (α Tau / α Taurus / Alpha Taurus) is the brightest star in the constellation and in the entire Zodiac, one of the brightest stars in the night sky.

Also visible in the constellation is the Hyades star cluster.
From Earth 🌎 we can see it projected onto the head of the calf, but it is not in physical proximity.

The brightest stars of the Hyades form a clearly visible v on the bull's face.
Aldebaran is located near the eastern edge of the cluster but is not a member.

And this is an image, a sketch of the zodiac depicted in an Egyptian temple. It is called the Dendera zodiac.

On it we see the constellation Taurus, as well as the constellation Orion and the Pleiades star cluster.
In star atlases ♉️ was often depicted, at the waist, and the underside of the bull, not drawn.

In Vedic culture Aldebaran is referred to nakshatra Rohini.

Nakshatras - Lunar Stations are like the names of the metro stations through which the Moon passes.
In mythological texts there is a myth, about each of the nakshatras.

If you are interested in the mythology associated with the zodiacal Taurus ♉️ - let me know.

So we can also talk about the symbolism of the bull, or the astrological meanings of the zodiac.
