The man who lost hardrive with 8000 Bitcoins stored in it.

Have you ever heard of biggest Stories in crypto history. I'm not talking about Bitcoin and pizza or what Black Rovk is trying to do with their ETFs. The story of a man who threw away a hard drive in 2013 and years later realized he had thrown away what is now over half a billion dollars in Bitcoin.

Imagine being in that man's position, throwing that much money away. The thought of knowing you could have been a multi millionaire if you were keeping all your old stuffs in a basement will haunt him for life.

It's easy to look at this story and judge the man or even insult him for being stupid but if we're being very honest with ourselves, how many of us thought Bitcoin would ever reach this kind of value?

The guy's name is James Howells and at the moment he's doing everything he can to got that missing hardrive back. It's definitely worth any and all efforts he'll put into finding it.

The guy is ready to dig up an entire landfill, and has said he'll offer a share to the local council for allowing him dig.

It's a fair enough deal to the council because who wouldn’t want to help a guy that could get $514 million? The council agrees to the decision but their main concern is the environmental damage such a move will cause.

The world’s already messed up, and everything he's going to do the get that hardrive will just unearth more buried junk.

Would you take the chance of finding it if it was you in that man's position? I’ve definitely thrown away things I wish I hadn’t, but the stakes were never as high as half a billion dollars.

Perhaps that's the reason he needs to do whatever he can. The damages caused could be repaired with some of the money right?
