The Death Of Driving

source

Elon Musk has just made some very bold predictions about the end of traditional driving and this is bringing up a lot of questions in people's minds. Tesla's main vision is to build more cars that don’t even have steering wheels or manual brake pedals.

But the thing we all know is that this whole shift to fully autonomous vehicles has been just around the corner for many years. Elon Musk is promising us a future where self-driving is the mainstream means of transportation but do you think this is realistic or just one big hype to make more money now?

I've also just learned about their Cybercab and their Robovan. I'm being honest, these are cool ideas, but both of them were showcased only in controlled environments so it hardly proof that they’re road-ready right now and yet, Elon Musk is claiming that the technology is already rolling out in places like San Francisco. I don't know if I can trust the cars.

Beyond tech, there’s also the whole mindset around it. I don't think everyone in the world is ready to give up control behind the wheel. So this is a huge bet Elon is making here. The Tesla stocks have risen so maybe it'll sell but anything can happen.
