Right above is a plate damn near full of precious metals related part I printed on my latest resin printer that I have yet to talk about in full that will come maybe on Saturday.
Yestrday I felt super tired and my stomach felt strange the entire day, and it seems today is more of the same, I don't know what the deal is, I really hope it passes over as I have been fairly miserable and not nearly as productive as I like to be.
I am I just getting old? Is this the new normal ? Time will tell 🤣
Anyway let's get into the post, I printed some coin display, custom capsules experiments and I gave my silver dime ring blank again but this time in high clarity resin, and this is what this post is about I don't have the power to talk about also there is still some experimentation and trials left.
The ring came out fairly nice only a bit of a elephant foot on the front from printing, these resin printers not really supposed to be printing directly on the plate like I did but they you end up having to deal with supports that I really hate.
After washing this high clarity resin it becomes more cloudy, I will get into why that is later but then you cure it and if you want to make it more clear you can brush a layer of the resin on manually and then wash and cure, right bellow is the results of such a treatment, it works but extra labour and introduced and artisan angle and on this path to more clarity other undesired artifacts can be introduced.
This first ring did not come out the best but It was just more so a testing the concept, looks sort of like the base is made out of crystal so fairly different look .
