After the kitchen shelve collapsed on Sunday night, I started the week with a cleanup bootcamp ... 😅 After cleaning up, I decided to sew baby pants. One of our friends' family recently had a baby and I am hoping to visit them soon.
I don't know how many pairs of this pant I have already sewn for my daughter and for celebrations of babies born in friends families. Since my daughter grown up from the largest size of the pattern, I haven't sew it for a while.
The fabric was already cut on Monday, so it took only an hour and some this evening to finish it. The fabric is leftover from my daughter's dress. She liked dinosaur back then and I rushed to a fabric store when I saw this friendly dinosaur fabric. I like to use leftover and relate my daughter and others kids.
While I was sewing the baby pants, I remembered my daughter's baby time and felt happy to be able to make a celebration, which put me in a very good mood.
And in the kitchen where there is my work space and I sewed the pant, the magnolias are in full bloom. I followed my daughter's suggestion and bought a huge branch for my first time. Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers to see outside every year during this time of year, but I would never have thought of buying such a large branch. It was so big that I had to divide it into three parts and put it in a vase.
Sometimes unexpected bad things happen, but there are also a lot of good things in our life.

日曜日に台所の棚が崩れ落ちて、今週はその片づけからというとんでもない一週間のスタートでした。片付けを終えて、赤ちゃんパンツの生地を裁断しました。お世話になっている編集者でありお友達一家に赤ちゃんが生まれて、近々遊びに行きたいと思っていたのです。
このパンツはうちの子の分やお祝いなどでもう何本縫ったかわかりません。布は裁断してあったので、今日、夕方1時間ちょっと縫って完成しました。子供のワンピースを作った懐かしい生地です。赤ちゃんパンツを縫いながら子供の赤ちゃん時代を思い出して、お祝いを作れる幸せを感じて、なんだかとてもいい気分になりました。
棚崩落事件なんてなんのその、台所では子供のリクエストで買ってきたマグノリアが満開です。マグノリアは毎年この時期外で見かけて大好きな花ではあるのですが、子供が言い出さなかったらこんな大きな枝を買ってきて家に飾ろうなんて思いもしませんでした。あまりにも大きかったので三分割して生けています。
生きているとほんとどうしようもないこともありますが、いいこともいっぱいありますね。
