Cuando pienses e inicies en la preparación o preámbulo de la ceremonia que hacen hermoso recibir junto a la familia las Navidades y el año Nuevo que se avecina, hurga en la mente y rememora esos bellos momentos compartidos, son los hilos invisibles que nos atan.
Han servido de bastión, para reconocer que a válido la pena haber vivido y disfrutado con nuestros familiares los mejores e inolvidables momentos de nuestras vidas. Eso es algo a atesorar como la joya más preciada, no tiene precio. Que cada acción que se haga venga desde el corazón hasta los dedos de los pies, impregnada de buena vibra.
Dejemos que la Navidad golpee nuestro rostro, como suave brisa que acompaña al alba, que penetre las fibras de la piel, sentirla, vivirla en su máxima expresión, eso dará tranquilidad y alegría al corazón e inmediatamente sentirás que algo para bien está cambiando dentro de nosotros que todas esas sensaciones llegan desde el cielo.

Algunos de mi familia tuvieron que emigrar, los que estamos de este otro lado del globo terráqueo intentamos seguir con las tradiciones navideñas. Por un lado, he echado mi llorada de tristeza, por momentos que no volverían y por el otro lado he llorado de emoción, ya que esta época huele a mi familia. Sé que ellos donde se encuentren buscarían la forma de ser felices, en el entorno que les toque hacer vida.
Mientras tanto espero, y nosotros seguimos preparándonos, para recibir las cosas espectaculares y los buenos augurios que han de llegar a nuestras vidas. Siempre he intentado pensar en positivo, creo que existe una energía mágica que circunda nuestro mundo, pero que también hay que ayudarla y poner manos a la obra para activarla.
Una de esas formas es a través de los rituales, el más importante siempre ha sido el de sentirme bien para estar a tono y compartir en familia, todo eso es lo que ha movido mi mundo y esto ha traído felicidad y bienestar a mi vida. En la Venezuela de antier, comprar y leer la prensa escrita era genial.
¡Ya salió la revista, mi abuelo compro el periódico!, exclamaron Gaby y Rosalbita, mis sobrinas, cuando me vieron parada en el umbral de la puerta. Estaba llegando para pasar las Navidades y el fin de año. Y, así, iniciaban algunos de los rituales navideños, en mi hogar materno. La felicidad y alegrías nos rodeaban en su máxima expresión. Y con ella todo lo que traía consigo los días domingos.
Ahora bien, a mediados del mes de diciembre esperábamos con ansias—estoy casi segura que algunas personas también— la revista dominical “Todo en Domingo”, que venía encartada en el diario El Nacional.

On the one hand, I have cried with sadness, for moments that would not come back and on the other hand I have cried with emotion, since this season smells of my family. In the meantime I wait, and we continue to prepare, to receive the spectacular things and good omens that are to come into our lives. I have always tried to think positive, I believe that there is a magical energy that surrounds our world, but we must also help it and put hands to work to activate it.
One of those ways is through rituals, the most important has always been to feel good to be in tune and share with my family, all this is what has moved my world and this has brought happiness and well being to my life. In the Venezuela of yesteryear, buying and reading the written press was great.

Era una edición especial la cual traía consigo los rituales a través de esencias, ramas, y otras cosas que Alfonso León indicaba para conseguir el amor, en que coordenada había que colocar el árbol de Navidad y de qué color vestirlo para activar el área a escoger como eran: trabajo, amor, la dicha, y la prosperidad, entre otros y así activar el nuevo año que se avecinaba. Esta revista no podía faltar en mi hogar materno, pero es que esta ya formaba parte de nuestras tradiciones, de las ceremonias que se realizaban como preámbulo a la Navidad y Fin de año. Ya que aparte de conocer cuál iba a ser el color a vestir de la temporada de acuerdo al signo. Alfonso impregnaba esas páginas de tanto positivismo, de buenos deseos que cuando las leías ya nos sentíamos que íbamos a lograr nuestros sueños más anhelados. Cuando preparaba la maleta, colocaba al mes tres mudas de ropa de diferentes colores, para Navidad y fin de año, ya que para la fecha en que me tocaba viajar todavía no había salido la revista en cuestión y no sabía qué color me tocaría. Esto era de una emoción total, les diré algo, el que vivió esto, sabe de lo que hablo. En la vida todo lo que hay que tener es fe, creer, para poder crear y que se haga realidad. Los seres humanos, siempre he insistido en la necesidad que se tiene, el de creer en algo, lo que creas, que en positivo mueva nuestro mundo, poder tener autoestima, amarnos, mimarnos, para ser cada día mejores personas, pues en esa misma medida estaríamos en la capacidad de amar y respetar a nuestro prójimo, a nuestra familia. Con una humeante taza de café por delante, procedía a leer los signos del horóscopo, mientras tanto mis sobrinas, cuñada y hermanos, escuchaban, pero todos alrededor de dónde versaba la atención a esa revista, unos sentados, otros recostados, otros parados y Gaby que era la menor del grupo, con esos ojitos que le brillaban queriendo saber qué decía Alfonso León para iniciar los rituales. Eso sí, en mi familia casi todos participamos, Rosalbita iba anotando signo por signo los menjurjes que había que comprar y prepararlos, como canela y miel, para activar el amor, para limpiar el hogar de energías estancadas, usar la albahaca regida por Marte absorbe la negatividad, así como también el agua de las flores amarillas, hojas de naranjo, la lavanda, entre otros. El laurel y la canela, para atraer abundancia y riqueza, la mandarina, el eucalipto y la ruda tienen cada una su propiedad. Supuestamente, todas estas hierbas, y muchas otras más, ayudan a equilibrar nuestras vidas, a levantar la autoestima, a energizarnos, a entrar en modo bienestar. Es importante no confundir las esencias, hierbas antes mencionadas con nada negativo, sino, más bien, ver su parte positiva, para limpiar nuestro entorno de malas vibras y activarlo para la salud, prosperidad y muchas cosas buenas. Mi hermano mayor, siempre nos secundaba en nuestras locuras y nos daba el dinero para comprar todo lo necesario para traer la prosperidad y abrir los caminos para que el universo conspirar a nuestro favor y al del entorno donde nos moviéramos. En mi familia acompañar los rituales de la preparación de los baños del 24 y 31 de diciembre era un acto mágico. Iba al mercado junto a mis sobrinas, a comprar y traíamos lo encomendado de acuerdo al signo, llegábamos a preparar las esencias para darnos un buen baño bajo el amparo del gran poder de Dios, se le daba inicio al ritual. De esta manera según se abrían los caminos. La miel, las varitas de incienso y las velas no podían faltar, para activar el amor, la salud, la prosperidad y pare de contar. Estos rituales, hacerlos de corazón y con mucha fe, no fallan y después me cuentas. Dígame el de jugar al amigo secreto, realmente es muy emocionante tener la duda de conocer quién nos va a regalar, cuando escogía mi papelito, ¡wuao! Era emocionante. Eso no juega carrito. Otro de nuestro ritual emblemático, hermoso, en la familia y del cual nos encargábamos Gaby y yo, eran las tradicionales uvas, se lavaban y colocaban en vasitos transparentes, estos iban a depender de la cantidad de personas a estar presente en la celebración de fin de año, aunque siempre se preparaban cómo cuatro vasos adicionales, por si acaso llegaba alguien que no hubiera estado en la lista.
