POLLS UPGRADE - Multi-choice and HP weighted votes

peak open projects (2).png

The @peak.open team made changes to the backend of Hive Open Polls and we upgraded Peakd.com to work with those changes.
A big thanks to @borislavzlatanov of the Peak Open Projects who created the backend for polls. PeakD is just one of the UIs that presently supports Hive Open Polls. We invite all other UIs to integrate polls.

1 MULTI-CHOICE POLLS

Now when you make a poll you can choose how many choices a user can vote on for your poll.
You set the max number of choices and that means they can vote on as many poll choices they want up to the max.
The default will remain 1 (meaning each user can vote on one choice only)

2 VOTES BY HIVE POWER (Staked HIVE)

Besides seeing the results by the number of accounts voting on each choice, you can now see results by the combined Hive Power (Staked HIVE) of the voters on the poll.

You can see these results ANYTIME you want ... the option when creating a poll is to indicate what the poll creator cares most about and thus the default that the UI will show.

You can look at either type of result interpretation. The DEFAULT is what the poll creator chose.

3 SHOW RESULTS AFTER

For some polls you may prefer the users NOT see the results until after they vote.
This is what this poll setting will do... it will indicate to the UI that it should not show the users the results until after they've caa vote.
