Cerro el Café an Adventure at 1300 Meters Above sea Level

From Caracas to Valencia I had to travel 172 km. Two and a half hours in terms of time. We left home on Friday at six o'clock in the evening and arrived at our destination at half past eight in the evening.

The intention of the trip was to visit a very famous natural park in this area of Venezuela. Part of my maternal family lives in Valencia but very few know or have visited the place.

Days before while looking for information I found on the map a beautiful park called Cerro el café. Excited I invited my nieces to walk the trails of the park but only one of them was enthusiastic.

Good! One of them was enough to keep me company because she was the only one who had been to Cerro el Café.

Saturday it was impossible to leave the house, but Sunday was an excellent day to get up early and go out to meet the magic of nature.

At six twenty-six in the morning I took the first picture of some wild flowers in front of the garden of a house that looked abandoned.

As we moved towards the entrance of the hill I thanked God for the opportunity, in my yoga routines we say Namaste.

Concentration, activation of the senses, willingness to contemplate and above all to pay attention to every part of my body. I really feel that I love nature. I thank her for everything she has brought to my being.

With nature I learned the meaning of the word intimacy. For me, intimacy is secret but at the same time confession, nudity, cleanliness, purification.

It was two hours of walking without rest. My niece, husband and I were in tune with the rhythm of each step, in a light but not slow walk there was time for everything, talking, laughing, perceiving smells and sounds, touching textures and breathing pure, clean, fresh air...

For those who wish to explore this wonderful place I invite you to keep the idea and motivation. It is worth living the experience and enjoying the free space.

Cerro el Café is a pine forest. The strong breeze hits its branches and from there sounds are produced that become music to the ears.

The vegetation is abundant, the earth is red and the weather changes as we ascend. At the top the fog became dense and did not allow us to see part of the landscape.

It is a place where you can spend the night. It is an adventure that I would like to live at some point.

Cerro el Café compared to Cerro Avila is less long. However, each Cerro has its own advantages. This one, for example, has a higher density of fog. The pine trees dress the whole space from the beginning to the end.

The trails in El Café are very well marked and the paths are clear. We spent practically the whole morning receiving and renewing.

I share some pictures for those who live in or near the Valencia area to enjoy this marvel. Thank you dear community. I hope to continue sharing with you landscapes of my beloved Venezuela.
