These Silver Fractional Coins turned up in the US Dime junk box, at the Local Coin Shop, for $2 each. Two were produced during World War One, which at the time, was referred to, as the Great War. In Europe, the First World War, before the second.
One never knows what they might find, at a Local Coin Shop, for just a few Dollars.
This US Silver Half Dime would have been valuable in the United States, during the War Between the States or the US Civil War.
After the Civil War, the Silver Half Dime, shared the job, of Five Cents, with the newly produced, Nickel Five Cents. Both were produced, simultaneously, for about a decade, or so.
This is not intended to be financial advice. This is all about a fun hobby, of collecting & stacking Silver Coins and such.
Thanks again for checking it out, on #silvergoldstackers, where Stackers show & share their treasures, thoughts & ideas.
