Dropping a small pile on the SGS with this, and the next post. The small pile of coins on my dining room table had to go. The wife was getting irritated with me. So, instead of doing several posts one post at a time, I am doing two posts for the whole group of coins. Well will start with this lively little group of assorted coins from around the globe.
There are a couple coins I am saving from the pile to post about separately, but this post and the next is what is left that I haven't posted about.
There won't be the usual breakdown of the coin specs or anything like that. Just going to ramble on a little and share a link to Numista to check some stats out yourself.
With the rambling will be some personal narration on them, but not much. I will let the photos and Numista do most of the talking this time around.
1914 2 Francs
This one has a little spew on it as @trumpman likes to say. Doesn't matter though, it is just over 83% silver and weighs 10grams. So poo away trumpy.
1962 5 Francs
This one is a little newer and has a different design on the reverse. No spew here, sorry trumpy. This coin is a little more hefty at 12 grams, but still at just over 83% silver.
1961 1 Peso
This one might deserve a little Trumpy spew as it only contains 10% silver for its weight of 16grams.
1942 10 Centavos
This little mighty might is only 2.5 grams but is 90% silver. It has defintely seen some use and I would like to know the stories it could tell.
1942-D 3 Pence
This little guy only weighs 1.41 grams but is over 92% silver. It is in pretty good shape for something minted and cirdulated during the Second World War.
1943-S 1 Shilling
This one has a little @trumpman spew on the obverse, but again looks good for something from WW2. It is hitting 5.65 grams and just over 92% silver.
Next post I will share some assorted silver coins from Germany.
Thanks for reading,
Joe
