For some time now I have become assiduous to watch videos on youtube, since there is a wide range of possibilities to entertain yourself or why not? I usually like to watch videos about cars, learn about the latest models and the technology they come equipped with, but in the evenings I really like to watch a specific channel and that's why I bring it here to inaugurate my participation in this community with this Iniciative, to which my daughter @mairene1 invited me, this channel is none other than National Geographic in Spanish, obviously I first knew this channel on cable TV but when my TV stopped working and I started to watch more frequently youtube videos on my cell phone, I found the pleasant surprise that National Geografic had its own channel there too and it is a great thing because this way I have the opportunity to watch exactly what I want when I want, without being subject to schedules and much less to commercial breaks (there are some commercials but that's another thing).
Desde hace un tiempo para acá me he vuelto asiduo a ver videos en youtube, ya que hay una amplia gama de posibilidades para entretenerse o ¿por qué no? aprender algo nuevo cada día, por lo general me gusta ver videos sobre carros, conocer los últimos modelos y la tecnología con la que vienen equipados, pero por las noches me gusta mucho ver un canal en específico y por eso lo traigo aquí para inaugurar mi participación en este comunidad con esta Iniciativa, a la cual me invitó mi hija @mairene1, este canal no es otro más que National Geografic en español, obviamente conocí primero este canal en la televisión por cable pero cuando mi televisión dejó de funcionar y yo comencé a ver con más frecuencias videos de youtube en mi teléfono celular, encontré la grata sorpresa de que National Geoegrafic tenía su propio canal allí también y es algo grandioso porque de esta manera tengo la oportunidad de ver exactamente lo que quiero cuando quiero, sin estar sujeto a horarios y mucho menos a cortes comerciales (hay algunos anuncios pero eso es otra cosa).
This channel is very interesting because it broadcasts programs not only for individual or family entertainment, but also provides knowledge for general culture, sports, information and even entertainment. Through it I learn about past and present events, it is interesting to learn about universal and contemporary history, for example, about the Roman or Egyptian era. Watching this channel I have learned a lot about the Second World War, about characters of that time, who they were, in what part of history they were and what they did.
Este canal es muy interesante porque transmite programas no solo para el entretenimiento individual o familiar, sino que también aporta conocimientos para la cultura general, el deporte, información e inclusive la farándula. A través de él me informo de acontecimientos pasados y presentes, es interesante conocer sobre historia universal y contemporánea, conocer por ejemplo sobre la era romana o egipcia. Viendo este canal he aprendido mucho sobre la segunda guerra mundial, sobre personajes de la época, quienes eran, en que parte de la historia estaban y que hicieron.
A program that catches my attention is about airplane accidents (since I like airplanes a lot) is called Mayday, but unfortunately they have not uploaded it on the channel and I am looking forward to it because there they show you the exhaustive investigations that are carried out after airplane accidents and as incredible as it may seem, usually the cause of the accidents are due to human failures, from not taking into account the list of duties and obligations to forgetting to check the controls, it has been the case that the aircraft runs out of fuel at cruising altitude (which refers to the altitude at which the air offers less resistance).
Un programa que me llama mucho la atención es sobre accidentes aéreos (ya que me gustan mucho los aviones) se llama Mayday, pero lamentablemente no lo han subido en el canal y espero con ansias a que lo hagan porque allí te muestran las exhaustivas investigaciones que se llevan a cabo tras los accidentes aéreos y por increíble que parezca, por lo general la causa de los accidentes son por fallas humanas, desde no tomar en cuenta la lista de deberes y obligaciones hasta olvidar el chequeo de los controles, se ha dado el caso de que la nave se queda sin combustible a la altura de crucero (lo que se refiere a la altitud a la que el aire ofrece una menor resistencia)
Animal documentaries also capture my attention, I especially like a video called “Wild Empire: Failed hunts and great escapes” which is about lions and how they carry out their hunting skills. Each animal is given a name to make it easier to identify them, but it is sometimes heartbreaking to see how the lionesses take their prey by the neck, although we must understand that it is part of the ecosystem, if they did not do it they could not feed, but at the same time it is admirable to see the speed that these animals reach. The narrator's voice is enveloping and the music they use is immersive, so you feel part of the video, as if you were in a zafari, watching everything from a safe place. At about minute 1:44 we can see how a buffalo almost, but almost gets caught by a lioness, I felt a great relief when I saw that he managed to escape, although you feel bad because the herd could not eat, seriously, that's how immersive the video is, you can not help but feel various emotions and thus understand a little more of the animal kingdom.
Los documentales de animales también captan mi atención, sobre todo me gusta un video que se llama "Imperio Salvaje: Cacerías fallidas y grandes escapes" que trata sobre leones y como llevan a cabo sus habilidades de caza. A cada animal le asignan un nombre para que sea más fácil identificarlos, pero resulta a veces desgarrador ver como las leonas toman a sus presas por el cuello, aunque debemos entender que es parte del ecosistema, que si no lo hicieran no podrían alimentarse, pero al mismo tiempo es admirable ver la velocidad que alcanzan esos animales. La voz del narrador es envolvente y la música que usan es inmersiva, así que te sientes parte del video, como si estuvieses de zafari, observándolo todo desde un lugar seguro. Más o menos en el minuto 1:44 podemos ver como una búfalo casi, pero casi es atrapado por una leona, sentí un gran alivio cuando vi que consiguió escapar, aunque te sientes mal porque la manada no pudo comer, en serio, así de inmersivo es el video, no puedes evitar sentir varias emociones y comprender así un poco más del reino animal.
Other videos that I like to watch are from the series “Airport Alert” where many passengers at various airports around the world try to enter illegal substances, smuggled items or pass through with false documents, it is amazing to see how experts can detect the culprits by gestures, something that makes them look suspicious or sometimes even by simple intuition. In this video we can see how they detect illegal substances from a man's luggage, they apply a spray and when the substance takes a turquoise blue color it means that it is cocaine.
Otros videos que me gusta ver son de la serie "Alerta Aeropuerto" donde muchos pasajeros de varios aeropuertos del mundo intentan ingresar sustancias ilegales, artículos de contrabando o pasar con documentos falsos, resulta increíble ver como los expertos pueden detectar a los culpables por gestos, algo que les haga parecer sospechosos o a veces hasta por simple intuición. En este video podemos ver como detectan sustancias ilegales del equipaje de un hombre, le aplican un spray y cuando la sustancia toma una coloración azul turquesa significa que es cocaína
Really, this channel for me is not only entertaining but instructive, there is a lot of material from which you can learn something new every day, you even learn to be wary and take care of your luggage at airports, seriously, it is very useful. De verdad que este canal para mi no solo es entretenido sino instructivo, hay mucho material del que puedes aprender algo nuevo cada día, incluso aprendes a desconfiar y cuidar tu equipaje en los aeropuertos, en serio, es muy útil. Y en fin, esto ha sido todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado mi recomendación.
