Cualquiera que viva en Venezuela sabe que últimamente la situación con los cortes de la electricidad ha estado difícil, y tristemente he tenido que buscar alternativas para mantenerme ocupada durante esas horas, especialmente en el día. Así fue como hace pocas semanas, mientras estaba sin luz en una tarde muy calurosa, se me ocurrió llevar a cabo esta idea que había visto en internet😎
Básicamente era realizar unos dibujos de algunos de mis personajes favoritos de anime, pero en versión Polaroid. Amo dibujar, es una de las mejores maneras para entretenerme y relajarme, y especialmente, amo dibujar personajes de anime, no sé porqué, simplemente me encanta. Y aquí te explicaré el paso a paso de esta idea.
Anyone who lives in Venezuela knows that lately the situation with the power outages has been difficult, and sadly I have had to look for alternatives to keep me busy during those hours, especially in the daytime. That's how a few weeks ago, while I was without power on a very hot afternoon, I came up with this idea that I had seen on the internet😎
Basically it was to make some drawings of some of my favorite anime characters, but in Polaroid version. I love drawing, it's one of the best ways to entertain and relax, and especially, I love drawing anime characters, I don't know why, I just love it. And here I will explain you the step by step of this idea.
Lo primero es recortar dos rectángulos del mismo tamaño, aunque sinceramente al principio no me quedaron exactamente en un tamaño similar, luego los arreglé con una regla. En cada rectángulo dibujé un cuadrado, para que así luciera como el marco de una fotografía Polaroid.
El anime que escogí fue Jujutsu Kaisen✨ porque es uno de mis favoritos de esta temporada de anime, se los recomiendo totalmente. En el primer episodio de su segunda temporada aparecieron unas versiones estilo Chibi de los dos personajes principales, Satoru Gojo y Suguru Geto, y me apoyé en esa escena para realizar este dibujo. El estilo Chibi es la exageración de los rasgos de un personaje, normalmente cuerpos pequeños y cabezas grandes, o cambios de las expresiones faciales a una proporción más "tierna" o "cómica", en este caso los personajes estaban 'confundidos'.
The first thing to do is to cut out two rectangles of the same size, although honestly at first they were not exactly the same size, then I fixed them with a ruler. On each rectangle I drew a square, so it would look like a Polaroid picture frame.
The anime I chose was Jujutsu Kaisen✨ because it is one of my favorites of this anime season, I totally recommend it. In the first episode of its second season appeared some Chibi style versions of the two main characters, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, and I relied on that scene to make this drawing. Chibi style is the exaggeration of a character's features, usually small bodies and large heads, or changes of facial expressions to a more "tender" or "comical" proportion, in this case the characters were 'confused'.
El segundo paso es mi favorito: pintar✨, así que saqué todas mis pinturas al frío y el pincel más fino, y comencé a escoger cuál tono era el más indicado para cada uno. Así escogí el tono azul para el fondo Gojo, y morado para Geto.
Comencé a pintarlos con mucho cuidado porque me estaba gustando y no quería dañarlo🥺 Primero pinté de negro sus uniformes, luego sus cabellos (plateado para Gojo y negro para Geto), después su piel, y por último los detalles de sus uniformes.
Con marcador negro remarque todos los bordes, para darle mayor profundidad. Y como detalle final escribí el nombre de cada personaje.
The second step is my favorite: painting✨, so I took out all my cold paints and the finest brush, and started to choose which tone was the most suitable for each one. So I chose blue for the Gojo background, and purple for Geto.
I started painting them very carefully because I was liking it and I didn't want to damage it🥺 First I painted their uniforms black, then their hair (silver for Gojo and black for Geto), then their skin, and finally the details of their uniforms.
With black marker I outlined all the edges, to give it more depth. And as a final detail I wrote the name of each character.
Me encantó el resultado final, y a Luna, mi perra, también🤭 su reacción es mi expresión cada jueves, con cada capítulo nuevo del anime.
Es una idea muy sencilla, pero funcionó a la perfección para entretenerme mientras estaba sin luz en mi casa. Y en buenas noticias, minutos después de finalizar todo, llegó la luz.

I loved the final result, and Luna, my dog, too🤭 her reaction is my expression every Thursday, with each new chapter of the anime.
It's a very simple idea, but it worked perfectly to entertain me while I was without light in my house. And in good news, minutes after finishing everything, the light came on.
