Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una nueva ilustración digital y también un pequeño proceso creativo detrás de ella. Esta obra está inspirada en una elfa, un personaje que quise representar con una apariencia delicada y elegante, manteniendo elementos suaves y un estilo que transmitiera cierta sensación de magia y serenidad.
Además, esta ilustración tiene un significado especial para mí porque acompaña mi regreso a compartir contenido y arte. Sin embargo, más allá de eso, quise concentrarme principalmente en disfrutar nuevamente el proceso creativo, dedicar tiempo a cada detalle y construir la ilustración poco a poco desde sus primeras líneas hasta el resultado final.
Una de las cosas que más disfruto del dibujo digital es que cada capa se convierte en una pequeña parte de una composición mucho más grande. A veces los detalles que parecen más simples terminan siendo los que aportan más personalidad y vida a un personaje. En esta ilustración trabajé especialmente las luces, las texturas y algunos detalles decorativos para darle una apariencia suave y armoniosa.

Paso 1: Boceto inicial
Como en la mayoría de mis ilustraciones, todo comenzó con el boceto inicial. Para esta etapa utilicé un pincel tipo lápiz grafito en un tono rosa claro.
Elegí este color porque se integra mejor posteriormente con los tonos de la piel y me permite trabajar con mayor comodidad sin que las líneas sean demasiado fuertes visualmente. En esta fase me concentré principalmente en establecer la estructura del rostro, las proporciones y la expresión que quería transmitir.
Aunque es una etapa sencilla visualmente, considero que el boceto es una de las partes más importantes porque funciona como la base principal para todo el trabajo posterior.

Paso 2: Trabajo de la piel
Después continué trabajando la piel ocultando la capa del boceto para conseguir un resultado más limpio y natural.
Para esta parte utilicé el pincel lápiz difuminado y el aerógrafo normal, construyendo poco a poco las sombras y los volúmenes del rostro. Las luces fueron añadidas posteriormente en una capa aparte utilizando el pincel acuarela plana, buscando conseguir una transición más suave entre tonos.
La piel es una de las áreas a las que normalmente me gusta dedicar más tiempo porque pequeños cambios pueden transformar completamente la expresión y la profundidad del personaje.

Paso 3: Cabello y detalles del rostro
En esta etapa trabajé el cabello y los adornos del pelo en capas independientes para mantener un mejor control sobre cada elemento.
Además de los pinceles anteriores, utilicé el pincel Hairs Detail 4 by Chris, que me ayudó a añadir más textura y movimiento al cabello.
También aproveché esta fase para finalizar algunos detalles del rostro. La nariz y las orejas comenzaron a desarrollarse durante el trabajo de la piel, mientras que los ojos y la boca fueron realizados completamente aquí.
Siento que esta parte es donde el personaje comienza realmente a tomar personalidad y expresión.

Paso 4: Decoraciones y detalles finales
En esta última etapa añadí los adornos del vestido y pequeños detalles utilizando el pincel oro.
Quería reforzar la esencia fantástica del personaje y añadir elementos decorativos que ayudaran a crear una apariencia más mágica y elegante sin sobrecargar demasiado la ilustración.
Muchas veces son estos pequeños detalles finales los que terminan uniendo todos los elementos y aportando equilibrio a la composición.

Disfruté mucho trabajar esta ilustración porque me permitió volver a experimentar con capas, luces, texturas y pequeños detalles decorativos. Siempre me gusta observar cómo una idea sencilla puede ir evolucionando poco a poco hasta convertirse en una ilustración completa.

Today I want to share with you a new digital illustration and a little bit about the creative process behind it. This piece is inspired by an elf, a character I wanted to depict with a delicate and elegant appearance, maintaining soft elements and a style that conveys a certain sense of magic and serenity.
This illustration also has a special meaning for me because it marks my return to sharing content and art. However, beyond that, I wanted to focus primarily on enjoying the creative process again, dedicating time to every detail and building the illustration little by little from its first lines to the final result.
One of the things I enjoy most about digital drawing is that each layer becomes a small part of a much larger composition. Sometimes the details that seem simplest end up being the ones that bring the most personality and life to a character. In this illustration, I worked especially on the lighting, textures, and some decorative details to give it a soft and harmonious appearance.

Step 1: Initial Sketch
As with most of my illustrations, it all started with the initial sketch. For this stage, I used a graphite pencil brush in a light pink tone.
I chose this color because it blends better with the skin tones later on and allows me to work more comfortably without the lines being too visually harsh. In this phase, I focused mainly on establishing the structure of the face, the proportions, and the expression I wanted to convey.
Although it's a visually simple stage, I consider the sketch one of the most important parts because it serves as the foundation for all subsequent work.

Step 2: Skin Work
Next, I continued working on the skin, hiding the sketch layer to achieve a cleaner and more natural result.
For this part, I used the soft pencil brush and the regular airbrush, gradually building up the shadows and volumes of the face. The highlights were added later on a separate layer using the flat watercolor brush, aiming for a smoother transition between tones.
Skin is one of the areas I usually like to spend the most time on because small changes can completely transform the character's expression and depth.

Step 3: Hair and Facial Details
In this stage, I worked on the hair and hair accessories on separate layers to maintain better control over each element.
In addition to the brushes mentioned earlier, I used the Hairs Detail 4 by Chris brush, which helped me add more texture and movement to the hair.
I also took advantage of this phase to finalize some facial details. The nose and ears began to be developed during the skin work, while the eyes and mouth were completed here.
I feel that this is where the character really begins to take on personality and expression.

Step 4: Decorations and Final Details
In this final stage, I added the dress embellishments and small details using the gold brush.
I wanted to reinforce the character's fantastical essence and add decorative elements that would help create a more magical and elegant appearance without overloading the illustration.
Often, it's these small final details that tie all the elements together and bring balance to the composition.

I really enjoyed working on this illustration because it allowed me to experiment again with layers, lighting, textures, and small decorative details. I always love watching a simple idea gradually evolve into a complete illustration.
