Una técnica que me gusta bastante y me relaja practicarla es la acuarela, aunque hacia mucho tiempo no la usaba. Ayer estaba muy aburrida y con la necesidad de hacer algo y recorde una cartulina de acuarela que habia preparado hace años (por exagerar un poco) y que solo hacia falta que la usaran.
A technique that I really like and relaxes me to practice is watercolor, although I haven't used it for a long time. Yesterday I was very bored and I felt the need to do something and I remembered a watercolor cardboard that I had prepared years ago (to exaggerate a little) and I just needed to use it.
No tomé fotos del proceso, no lo pensé porque no tenia ni idea de lo queniba a hacer, además estaba escuchando un capítulo del podcast de Pepe & Chema que me tenia muy concentrada.
I didn't take pictures of the process, I didn't think about it because I had no idea what I was going to do, besides I was listening to an episode of Pepe & Chema's podcast that had me very concentrated.
Entonces voy a describirles un poco como fue el proceso de elaboración de esta pequeña ilustración con acuarelas.
So I am going to describe a little bit about the process of elaboration of this small watercolor illustration.
Me gusta comenzar con una base de color para quitarle ese blanco que tanto asusta a la cartulina, entonces elegí el azúl para ello. Después de secada esa primera capa dibujé super claro con un lápiz de color azúl para tener una guía de lo que iba a hacer.
I like to start with a base color to remove that white that scares the cardboard so much, so I chose blue for it. After that first layer was dry I drew super clear with a blue pencil to have a guide of what I was going to do.
A partir de aqui fue cuestión de ir aplicando capa sobre capa de los demás colores. Un naranjita para la piel, un toque de azúl en los ojos, rosita para las mejillas y un marrón para el cabello.
From here it was a matter of applying layer upon layer of the other colors. A little orange for the skin, a touch of blue for the eyes, pink for the cheeks and a brown for the hair.
Después segui agregando otra capa de azúl porque queria dar un efecto de sombra, como si mi personaje estuviera ocultándose detrás de algo. Luego de que estuviera todo seco si aplique unos detalles con lápiz de color amarillo para resaltar unas luces y con un corrector blanco otros detalles de brillo en los ojos.
Then I added another layer of blue because I wanted to give a shadow effect, as if my character was hiding behind something. After everything was dry I applied some details with a yellow pencil to highlight some lights and with a white concealer other details of brightness in the eyes.
Y bueno esto fue todo para este dibujo, como les comentaba hace rato que no usaba las acuarelas (por vagancia) espero que mis ganas de dibujar por dibujar regresen nuevamente, en una próxima publicación de arte si espero fotografiar el proceso.
And well this was all for this drawing, as I said I haven't used watercolors for a while (due to laziness) I hope that my desire to draw for the sake of drawing will come back again, in a next art publication I hope to photograph the process.
