☀️ Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on Education.
Artificial intelligence is an unstoppable force that is advancing to be more present in our lives every day. It is undeniable that more and more aspects of our daily lives are, in one way or another, influenced by the presence of AI. So it is up to us to try to understand it better and make the most of its functionalities.
Particularly concerning my youngest daughter, who is in the last two years of secondary education in my country, it has served as a support point for her to become a better student. Although in most educational centers, even where my daughter studies, the use of AI for school work and homework is prohibited, its enormous value as a support for education is unquestionable.
My daughter had no interest in how AI could help her with her homework, largely due to the psychological terrorism that had been imposed at her school about this technology. So much so, that the kids are forbidden to use cell phones in school and every so often they are having their belongings checked to find out if they are breaking this rule.
I have taken several courses on artificial intelligence and I can say that I know a little about the subject. When approaching my daughter's use of AIs to support her in her homework, she took it with some wariness. One of the things I instilled in her about this is that she should use them only as a support to clarify, reinforce, or complement concepts related to her classes. That is why, when doing her homework and relying on the AI, they provide her with the additional information she might need to clarify and understand all her subjects.
Every task performed by my daughter is generated by herself, using AI to develop these tasks much better. This is further supported by verifying and analyzing each concept, fact, or topic with research in books and online resources. In other words, AI gives you a better way to understand each concept and, through your analysis and verification of the data, you can develop your approaches much better.
AI has become, in my daughter's case, a great ally in her homework, which has allowed her to greatly improve her grades these past two years. She keeps it a secret, as she fears being discredited at her school if she admits to using AI as a support for her schoolwork. This becomes more relevant when there have already been cases of students who have used, in a very precarious way, AI to perform some tasks and have been caught in this practice. The overkill on the part of educators is unforgivable and hence their fear.
I think that the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence can serve us in many ways when it comes to knowledge acquisition and task facilitation. At least here at Hive, the fear that many users rely on this technology to create content can cause a lot of misunderstandings. Although I have seen cases of users using them in a blatant and very obvious way, there is no doubt that AI can help us generate and support new and better ideas and concepts to create content on this blockchain. It is up to us, to be honest about how we use them.

☀️ Inteligencia Artificial y su Impacto en la Educación.
La inteligencia artificial es una fuerza indetenible que avanza para cada día estar más presente en nuestras vidas. Es innegable que cada vez son más los aspectos de nuestra cotidianidad que se ven, de alguno u otro modo, influenciados por la presencia de la IA. Por lo que nos toca tratar de entenderla mejor y sacar el mejor provecho de sus funcionalidades.
Particularmente en relación con mi hija menor, que cursa los dos últimos años de la educación secundaria en mi país, le ha servido como un punto de apoyo para convertirse en una mejor estudiante. A pesar de que en la mayoría de los centros educativos, incluso donde estudia mi hija, está prohibido el uso de las IA para la realización de trabajos y tareas escolares, es indudable su enorme valor como apoyo para la educación.
Mi hija no tenía ningún interés en cómo podría la IA ayudarla en sus tareas, en gran parte debido al terrorismo sicológico que habían impuesto en su escuela con relación a esta tecnología. Tanto así, que los chicos tienen prohibido el uso de teléfonos celulares en el centro educativo y cada cierto tiempo les están revisando sus pertenencias para descubrir si están faltando a esta norma.
He hecho varios cursos sobre inteligencia artificial y puedo decir que conozco un poco del tema. Al abordar el uso por parte de mi hija de las IA para que le sirvieran de soporte en sus tareas, ella lo tomó con cierto recelo. Una de las cosas que le inculqué a ella sobre esto, es que las debía usar solo como apoyo para aclarar, reforzar o complementar conceptos relacionados con sus clases. Es por ello que, al momento de realizar sus tareas y apoyarse en la IA, estas le brindan esa información adicional que podría estar necesitando para aclarar y comprender todas sus materias.
Cada tarea realizada por mi hija es generada por ella misma, valiéndose del uso de la IA para desarrollar mucho mejor estas tareas. Esto lo soporta aún más, verificando y analizando cada concepto, dato o tema con investigación en libros y recursos en línea. Es decir, la IA le brinda una mejor manera para entender cada concepto y, a través de su propio análisis y verificación de los datos, puede desarrollar mucho mejor sus planteamientos.
La IA se ha convertido, en el caso de mi hija, una gran aliada en sus tareas, lo que le ha permitido mejorar mucho sus notas estos dos últimos años. Ella lo mantiene como un secreto, ya que teme ser desacreditada en su colegio si admitiera que usa la Inteligencia Artificial como apoyo para sus trabajos escolares. Esto cobra más relevancia cuando ya se han dado casos de estudiantes que han usado, de forma muy precaria, la IA para realizar algunas tareas y se han visto descubiertos en esta práctica. El ensañamiento por parte de los educadores es imperdonable y por eso su temor.
Pienso que el uso responsable de las Inteligencias Artificiales nos puede servir de muchas maneras cuando de adquisición de conocimientos y facilitación de las tareas se trata. Por lo menos aquí en Hive, el temor de que muchos usuarios se apoyen en esta tecnología para crear contenido puede ocasionar muchos malentendidos. Aunque he visto casos de usuarios que las usan de manera descarada y muy evidente, sin duda que la IA puede ayudarnos a generar y soportar nuevas y mejores ideas y conceptos para crear contenido en esta blockchain. Depende de nosotros ser honestos en cuanto al uso que les demos.
