the change to the DEC reward curve has not been released yet. At this time we are planning to release that change on Monday, November 1st, shortly after the beginning of the next ranked play season
I want to speak about new curve and how it impact to pize size?
At this moment system use square of rating in distribution.
For example: PlayerA has 1000 rating in Bronze1 and PlayerB 700 in Bronze2(The can have more but league limits to this value)
PlayerA will get (1000*1000) / (700*700) =2.04 more dec for win
At this moment Bronze1 get around 4dec with 100%ecr and 0 bonuses, Bronze 2 ~2dec
Let's compare PlayerA withleaderof diamond1
This is sub3 with 4240 rating ( diamond1 max is 3700)
theory said he will get 3.7*3.7~x13.7 more than PlayerA ~54.8 at ecr 100.
Let's calculate: 10.644/0.176/1.1~54.98 Right!
from 1st november system will use cube instead square.
That means diamond 1 will get x50 in compare with 1k bronze1 player
I don't know correct numbers, but I made small simulation
I distribute same number of dec between players with old and new systems.
Results:
1.Bronze rewards decreases by 30%
2.Silver will get same prizes
3.Higher leagues will get boost
