[Mylor Crowling] Playstyle, Counter und Counter-counter in Bronze-Silver

As everyone will learn sooner or later, Mylor Crowling is a very popular summoner in Splinterlands.
This is not without reason, of course, because his Thorns ability, which he uses to distribute thorns to the entire team, is extremely strong against melee fighters, and these are known to be overly abundant in Bronze (and Silver). This is because the Thorns attribute ensures that an enemy melee fighter gets 2 DMG as soon as they attack a monster with this attribute.
Especially because of its high popularity, its price is constantly rising, so buy it while it's still affordable if you want it.

Also, for the Earth faction, there are many good and cheap monsters that harmonize with the Thorns ability.
By buying the Summoner's Spellbook you get Stone Golem, Unicorn Mustang, Earth Elemental and Flesh Golem alone. There are also cards like Centauri Mage or Nectar Queen to buy quite cheaply.

So where is the weakness of Mylor?
Obviously in the other two attack styles, range and magic.
And with the basic summoners from the Summoner's Spellbook comes Alric Stormbringer.
Alric increases the magic attack of your own monsters by +1. Magic attackers are not affected by the opponent's thorn ability and also have the advantage of ignoring the shields of enemy monsters. Since the Mylor deck is especially designed for battles in which the tanks intercept the DMG of the opponent's melee fighters and this also happens through shields (mainly with the Stone Golem), an Alric deck is best suited as a counter.
The Alric deck also stands out because there is no comparable deck with Range Attack +1 available at a reasonable price.

So how do you use the Alric Deck against Mylor?
It's relatively simple. Put a standard tank defense in the first or first two spots of your setup. Behind it, use as many Magic Attackers as possible, ideally ones that can withstand enough dmg. Of course, this can be expanded and varied at will. It should only serve as a first clue.

And how can I, as a Mylor deck user, counter the Alric deck users?
There is a relatively cheap card that will protect you against Alric's Magic Attack +1 effect in most cases, and it is also available at a relatively bearable or playable price. This is the Mushroom Seer. The Mushroom Seer reduces the Magic Attack of the opponent's monsters by -1, so the effect of Alric is suspended.
The Unicorn Mustang also finds a place of honor here, as it receives reduced DMG from Magic Attackers (Magic Attack DMG is halved, with 1 Magic Attack dealing 0 DMG instead).
The Centauri Mage is also worth mentioning in case the opponent does tend to use Range Attacks, as it fires back half the attacker's damage. Combined with her high life, she can knock out enemy range attackers.

Is Mylor overpowered? Not as much as other combinations (Yes I'm looking at you, Kron the Undying and Scarred Llama Mage) but he is still relatively cheap to buy at the moment. Mylor has no use in very rare cases, as at least the enemy tanks usually attack in melee and thus kill themselves.
So if you need a summoner for the bronze and silver range, Mylor is an excellent choice.
