In this post I explore the intriguing world of the Weak Magic ruleset and a potent strategy that centers around the formidable Conqueror Jacek. As a seasoned player who finds joy in the strategic intricacies of this captivating game, I've discovered a combination of monsters that not only synergize well but also bring a unique flair to the battlefield.

Using Weak Magic ruleset to win a battle!

The Strategy

Conqueror Jacek: A Piercing Powerhouse

Conqueror Jacek takes the spotlight in this Weak Magic ruleset. What makes him particularly appealing is his ability to bestow all friendly monsters with a piercing ability, providing a significant advantage against foes with high armor. The additional two speed is a cherry on top, greatly benefiting archers and melee attackers in the lineup.

Iidri Fyre: A Soulbound Protector

Despite not being maxed out for the Diamond League, Iidri Fyre proves to be a valuable asset, especially against archer-heavy compositions. The Return Fire ability puts a dent in opponents relying on ranged attacks, while the taunt ability allows for strategic control over the battle's direction. With a lack of attack but impressive speed, shield, and health, Iidri Fyre becomes a cost-effective choice at six mana.

Venari Heatsmith: The Unconventional Warrior

Often overlooked, Venari Heatsmith steps into the limelight in this ruleset. With a base speed of five, four shield, and four health, this three-mana monster brings Void Armor, Amplify, and Thorns to the table. The Amplify ability synergizes seamlessly with Iidri Fyre's Return Fire and proves effective against melee attackers, making Heatsmith a surprising yet effective choice.

Molten Ash Golem: The Tank with a Punch

Hailing from the Chaos Legion Core set, Molten Ash Golem boasts tank-like attributes with a base speed of two, three ranged damage, and a substantial ten health points. The Close Range, Weaken, and Demoralize abilities make this six-mana rare monster a force to be reckoned with, disrupting opponents and dealing damage from a distance.

Supply Runner: The Swift Support

Supply Runner joins the team to further enhance the speed dynamics, creating a challenging target for non-magic foes prevalent in the Weak Magic ruleset. This six-mana common rarity monster, with a base speed of five, three ranged damage, and five health, not only strengthens the entire team but also contributes to the overall agility of the lineup.

Doctor Blight: The Unyielding Nightmare

Despite being one of the more expensive promo monsters of the Chaos Legion set, Doctor Blight justifies the cost with an array of abilities that are hard to counter. Affliction, weaken, camouflage, poison, and scavenger make this neutral splinter monster a versatile and resilient presence on the battlefield, even in the confines of a Weak Magic ruleset.

Contess Sinash: The Legendary Assassin

Last but certainly not least, Contess Sinash brings legendary prowess to the team. With a base speed of four, four ranged damage, and four health, her swiftness and blast abilities combined with opportunity make her a formidable force. Camouflage ensures her survival until the late stages of battle, while affliction disrupts enemy healing, adding a strategic layer to her already impressive skill set.

In conclusion, the synergy among Conqueror Jacek and this carefully curated lineup creates a formidable force in Weak Magic battles. Each monster plays a crucial role, contributing unique strengths that, when combined, form a harmonious symphony of destruction on the Splinterlands battlefield. As you embark on your strategic journey, consider experimenting with this lineup to witness the power that emerges from the collaboration of these diverse and potent monsters.

The Summoner

I like using Conqueror Jacek in a Weak Magic ruleset because he provides all friendly monsters a piercing ability. Plus two speed is also really helpful for the archers or melee attackers that I would typically use in this ruleset.

1st Slot - Tank Monster

My Iidri Fyre isn't maxed out for the diamond league, but this soulbound epic card is still very useful against archers with the Return Fire ability. It also has a taunt ability which comes useful to control the flow of the battle by controlling where my opponent attacks. And the redemption ability is often helpful as well. Iidri has no attack, but with four speed, four shield and nine health with the above mentioned abilities it definitely warrants your consideration for only six mana.

2nd Slot - Secondary Tank Monster

Venari Heatsmith is not a very popular monster in the game, but for this situation it definitely fits the bill. It has base speed of five, four shield and four health with Void Armor, Amplify and Thorns abilities for only three mana. Amplify is useful to increase the return fire from Iidri Fyre and against melee attackers that hit the Heatsmith.

3rd Slot - Demoralizing Archer Monster

Molten Ash Golem is a rare monster from the Chaos Legion Core set. It comes with a base speed of two, three ranged damage, ten health points which make it somewhat tank-like and Close Range, Weaken and Demoralize abilities for the grand total of six mana.

4th Slot - Speed-up Ranged Monster

I like using Supply Runner with Conqueror Jacek to further speed out the whole team which makes it harder to hit with non-magic monsters that are very likely to be used in the Weak Magic ruleset. This common rarity monster also Strengthens the whole team with his Strengthen ability. For a modest six mana this ranged attacker has a base speed of five, three ranged damage and five health.

5th Slot - Affliction and Poison Monster

Doctor Blight is one of the most expensive promo monsters of the Chaos Legion set and for a good reason. This small mana card is really hard to counter because of his affliction, weaken, camouflage, poison and scavenger abilities. Even in a Weak Magic ruleset this neutral splinter monster provides a lot of utility on the battlefield.

6th Slot - Swiftness and Blast Opportunity Monster

And last but definitely not least comes Contess Sinash - another monster I almost always use with Conqueror Jacek. This legendary rarity rewards card comes with a base speed of four, four ranged damage and four health, but her main value lies in her rich set of abilities. I particularly love her swiftness and blast abilities combined with an opportunity ability. This means that she is likely to hit first and into the weakest spot of the opponent's lineup. Camouflage ability helps keep her alive until the very end of the battle. And affliction stops healing on monsters hit with it.

THE BATTLE

As predicted my opponent didn't use any magic monsters instead relying heavily or archer and melee attackers. This should work in our favor.

In the first round we lost our tank, but managed to take out two monsters on the opposite team.

In the second round we took out two more attackers from their team and lost our secondary tank. So far we lost none of our firepower reducing their fire power and speed quite a bit!

In round three we were able to take out their tank monster. We lost our close range archer but we still have plenty of firepower to take out their last standing monster:

And in round four we finish the battle with two strikes from Countess Sinash and Doctor Blight!
