Quilliun Legionary, the Backline Guardian

Hey, Splinterlands warriors! Today, I want to share an exciting experience I had with one of the cards that recently caught my attention. Yep, I'm talking about a rare Earth-type card called Quilliun Legionary. Let me walk you through how this card has been a game-changer for me in the battlefield.

When playing with the Earth element, there are a few Gladiator cards that players frequently rely on. Besides Quora Towershead, Katrelba Gobson often shows up as a real menace. If you've ever faced Katrelba, you know just how brutal she can be with her double attack and that fierce Bloodlust skill. Honestly, I’ve struggled quite a few times against her relentless attacks. My usual strategy was to place a Thorn-bearing monster like Venari Knifer in the backline to fend off those sneak attacks from Katrelba. But, there was always a downside—monsters with Thorn usually can’t attack while protecting the backline since they rely on melee attacks and only hit back when struck.

Enter Quilliun Legionary, and everything changed. Imagine this: I finally had a card that could guard the backline and dish out counterattacks. With a ranged attack type and the Close Range ability, Quilliun can keep attacking even when he's up front. So when an opponent's sneak attack penetrates my front line, Quilliun is ready to stand his ground and fire back.

One of the most memorable battles I had was against an Earth team that featured Katrelba Gobson and other maxed-out monsters. At first, I was worried—usually, Katrelba can dominate the match as her Bloodlust builds up. But this time, I put Quilliun Legionary in the back to guard my team. Thanks to his ranged attacks, he managed to take out Katrelba early on before she could become a real threat. It felt like a small but crucial victory in the larger strategic battle.

What really makes me appreciate Quilliun Legionary is his potential when fully upgraded. Picture this: along with Close Range, Quilliun gains the Void ability, which helps him withstand magic attacks by reducing their damage. This becomes super valuable when facing opponents that rely on spellcasters. And if you level him up all the way, he even gains Bloodlust, meaning he gets stronger with each enemy he defeats. With this combination of skills, Quilliun can endure longer in battles and become a formidable force in the endgame.

Using Quilliun Legionary has taught me a lot about the importance of having versatile cards, especially when it comes to countering different attack strategies. Sure, he isn’t a guaranteed ticket to victory every time, but he offers a valuable alternative when facing opponents that heavily rely on deadly sneak attacks. Personally, I think he’s worth adding to your collection, especially if you often face enemies like Katrelba or other sneaky threats.

In my opinion, Quilliun Legionary has the potential to be more than just a rare card. His skills and abilities make him feel like an Epic in certain situations. So, happy battling, and I hope Quilliun Legionary helps you secure some wins on the battlefield!
