Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing great and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Today I want to continue my card spotlight series and talk about a card that I think deserves a little more attention than it usually gets. The card is Phlegmor, a Common Life unit from the Conclave Arcana set.
At first glance, Phlegmor doesn't really look like a scary monster. It looks more like a giant blob of slime holding a spear. But after looking at its abilities and stats, I realized this card can provide a lot of value to an entire team.
At max level 10, Phlegmor unlocks three useful abilities that make it both an attacker and a support card at the same time.
At level 10, Phlegmor has:
4 Mana Cost
2 Melee Damage
3 Speed
7 Health
For only 4 mana, getting 7 health is already pretty nice. It can survive longer than many low-cost monsters and continue supporting the team throughout the battle.
What I like most is that every ability on this card helps either itself or the entire lineup.
Sneak: Targets the enemy unit in the last position.
Sneak is one of my favorite abilities in #Splinterlands.
Instead of attacking the enemy tank, Phlegmor goes straight for the backline. This means it can target support units, healers, ranged attackers, and magic damage dealers hiding behind the frontline.
Many battles are won by eliminating those fragile support monsters early.
Even though Phlegmor only has 2 melee attack, repeated Sneak attacks can create a lot of pressure.
Strengthen: +1 max health to all allied units.
This is where Phlegmor starts becoming really valuable.
Every friendly monster receives additional health at the start of battle.
Sometimes one extra health point doesn't sound like much, but experienced players know that a single extra point can completely change a battle.
I've seen many matches where a monster survived with only 1 health remaining and managed to attack one more time before dying.
That extra attack can often decide the winner.
Protect: +2 armor to all allied units.
This ability makes Phlegmor even more useful.
Protect gives every ally extra armor, making the whole team harder to kill.
Against melee and ranged teams this can be huge because opponents must break through the armor before damaging health.
When combined with Strengthen, your entire lineup becomes much tougher.
More armor plus more health is always a welcome combination.
The thing I enjoy most about Phlegmor is that it performs multiple roles at once.
It isn't just a Sneak attacker.
It also boosts team health and team armor.
Many low-mana cards only do one job. Phlegmor contributes damage while also making the entire lineup stronger.
That's pretty impressive for a Common card.
Because it only costs 4 mana, it can fit into many different rulesets and mana caps without causing problems.
Overall, I think Phlegmor is a very solid card for Life teams.
The combination of Sneak, Strengthen, and Protect gives it a unique role that blends offense and support together. It may not be the strongest attacker in the game, but the value it brings to the whole team can be massive.
For only 4 mana, getting extra health, extra armor, and backline pressure feels like a pretty good deal.
I expect this card will become even more useful as players continue experimenting with new strategies and team compositions.
Anyway thats it for todayβs #splinterlands grind. More battles tomorrow and hopefully more crazy moments too. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
