THIS IS ONLY MY GUIDE TO DIAMOND
Going from novice to diamond is not that simple you need to examine and analyze your opponents' next move. If you are a new player I recommend you to watch some tutorials first ( there are many ) on how to rent cards and how to place your cards properly in the battle or play practice matches to familiarize and have a better understanding of the game.
I want to share with you what I do and my rents for my journey to diamond
(NOTE that if your account is from novice, bronze, or silver this will burn your energy capture rate or what they call ECR)

WHAT TO DO:
- You should spend some time sniping cards to rent at the lowest price possible on the market. in the Gold league, you need to have a maximum level for monsters and summoners. (If you are from novice, bronze, or silver you need to rent this level of cards it doesn't matter if there is a level cap for summoners and monsters because your goal is going to diamond)
Common - level 8
Rare- level 6
Epic - level 5
Legendary - level 3
but first, you should rent for the summoners before renting the monsters to summon. You should at least 3 have summoners because ranking up you will encounter rules and if you only have 1 set of summoner and monsters eventually there will be a rule that you can't use that specific type of splinter.
MY RENTS (I focus on fire, earth, and life splinters)
NOTE* you need to at least have 2k-3k DEC to rent these cards and achieved the power needed for the diamond league.
Fire splinters:
Pyre LVL 8
This Summoner gives 1 speed to all its summons. with this ability, the summons have a high chance to avoid getting hit (the opponents' attack will get miss)
Cerberus LVL 6
with only 4 mana Cerberus has the ability to heal and retaliate (which causes it to attack back its attacker). This monster is good for tanking because it also has high health.
Beetle queen LVL 6
this splinter has the tank heal ability which causes to heal the first position monster. So paired with Cerberus it will be a good combination.
Goblin shaman LVL 8
This splinter has the weaken ability (causes to decrease 1 hp on opponents monsters) and slow ability (causes to decrease 1 speed on opponents monster). with his slow ability, you don't need to use creeping ooze on your deck.
Lord of fire LVL 3
This splinter has the strengthen ability (give 1 health to allies), silence ability (reduces opponents magic damage by 1), and affliction ability (causes the target enemy splinter not to heal).
The above 4 splinters are my favorites and below are all the cards that I rented on fire splinters.
Earth splinters:
Lyanna natura LVL 7
This summoner gives 1 hp to all its summoned monsters.
Stonesplitter orc LVL 6
This splinter has the Retaliate ability which causes it to attack back its attacker and enrage ability which gives him additional damage and speed when got damage. this makes him a burst tanker.
Minotaur Warrior LVL 10
This splinter has the reach ability (can attack the first position even when placed in 2nd position) and piercing ability (when the opponents' armor is 1 and got attacked by it with his 3 damage the remaining 2 damage will penetrate to the opponents' health)
Barking spider LVL 10
This splinter has a blind ability which makes the opponents' team that makes them miss their target. Also, It has high damage and high health with only 4 mana cost.
Goblin dartling LVL 10
This splinter has the shatter ability (destroys the target's armor with 1 hit) and knock-out ability which makes his attack double when the target is stunned. with only 2 mana cost its support to the team is very good.
The above 4 splinters are my favorites and below are all the cards that I rented on earth splinters.
Life splinters:
Mother khala LVL 8
This summoner like Lyanna gives 1 hp to all its summoned monsters.
Silvershield paladin LVL 6
This splinter has the shield ability (makes the incoming melee and ranged damage -1 to the original damage) and magic reflect (if the enemy magic splinter hits it with 3 magic damage it will attack back with 2 magic damage to its attacker)
Lone boatman LVL 10
This splinter has the snipe ability (doesn't attack the opponents' tank and goes only for ranged, magic, and no attacks that are not in the first position), Repair ability (repairs the broken armor of the tank each round), and shatter ability (destroys the target's armor with 1 hit). It is the best combo for Silvershield paladin.
Silvershield warrior LVL 8
This splinter has the reach ability and best to put in the 2nd position. Also got high damage and decent armor and health.
Kralus LVL 3
This splinter is best for tank in high mana battles. it has 4 abilities immunity ( doesn't get negative effects), Flying (gets higher chance to get missed when hit by the opponent), Heal (Restores a portion of its hp each round), and strengthen (Gives all allies extra 1 health).
The above 4 splinters are my favorites and below are all the cards that I rented on Life splinters.
Neutral splinter:
Furious Chicken LVL 6
with Its zero mana, it also has 1 melee damage and is best to put in the first position to take the first attack of the opponents' team. only put this if you have 1 empty slot.
There are many combinations you can use and not only this guide. If you know how to utilize your splinters' abilities and know-how to read your opponents' next move I guarantee you that you will also succeed. This game is all about strategies and manipulating all cards you have to defeat your enemy. This is why I love splinterlands because there so many possibilities that can happen in battles.
