No Heal No Problem Just Fix The Broken Armor - Healed Out Ruleset


Hello Splinterlover, how are you today? I hope you have a great day. Today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Healed Out ruleset.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

  • Target Practice: All range and magic monsters have the Snipe ability.
    • Snipe ability, targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position
  • Healed Out, all healing abilities from summoners and monsters are removed.
  • Melee mayhem.png Melee Mayhem, A melee monster can attack from any position, it will attack the monster in the first position.
  • mana cap.
  • can use elements Water and Earth.

My Lineup and strategy

  • Because of The Melee Mayhem ruleset we decided to use summoner water because it can provide additional speed and armor, with high speed it is hoped that we can kill enemies before they can attack. With this ruleset, we decided to use melee monsters as the main attacker.
  • For the Healed Out ruleset, although we cannot use the Heal ability in this battle, we can repair damaged armor. With armor, ranged and melee attacks must destroy the armor first before they can reduce the HP of the monster.
  • For the Target Practice ruleset, we hope that the enemy will not bring monsters with magic attacks, because ranged and magic units will attack our units which are tasked with repairing armor.

Another reason we use the Water element is because there are many melee monsters with low mana and good stats.

This is my lineup :

Kelya Frendul, Give armor and speed +1 to all friendly monsters.2 buff from this summoner is very good in this battle. With increasing speed, our monster has a chance to attack first, evade the enemy attack, and hit the enemy. Armor buff is important because it can block the damage from range monsters, the enemy needs to destroy the armor first before it can decrease the HP.
Pelacor Bandit, 1st position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Sneak, and Flying.This is our main attacker who has fast speed, great damage, and Flying ability (increases the chance to evade melee and ranged attacks by 25%) with this ability I hope it can evade some attacks. This monster usually puts behind and attacks the enemy monster in the last position because it has Sneak ability, but I put it in the first position because of the high speed and damage, in a low mana battle 4 damage and 6 speed are high, he Weakness of this monster is a magic attack.
Tide Biter, 2nd position, Attacker and 2nd tanker, has ability Reach, Reflection Shield, and True Aim.This unit can attack from the 2nd position because has the Reach ability, but in this Melee Mayhem ruleset this unit can attack from any position, but I like to put it here because have good HP and speed, suitable to become a 2nd tanker. Reflection Shield ability will ignore the damage of the Thorns and Blast effect. This monster can't missed because of the ability of True Aim.
Merdaali Guardian, 3rd position, Support, has the ability Tank Heal, Repair, and Strengthen.This monster lost half of the support power in this battle because can't heal anymore but it can restore/repair our unit armor which got the most damage with the Repair ability. Strengthen ability gives +1 HP to all friendly monsters this ability is useful too, with more HP giving more chance to survive the enemy attack. Put in this position to make sure safe from back and front attacks.
Torrent Fiend, 4th position, Tanker, has the ability Headwinds.We used this monster as a tanker in the back to protect our main monster from Sneak attack (attacking the monster in the last position). Another reason because it has zero mana cost we don't have any mana left. With the ruleset Melee Mayhem this monster can attack from this position. It has good support ability Headwind, which reduce the damage of the range monster by -1.
Hardy Stonefish, 5th position, Attacker and Tanker, do not have the ability.Because I only have 1 mana left I use this monster. Hardy Stonefish with 1 mana and 2 armor is perfect for this position. He can attack although only has 2 damage. Same like Torrent Fiend to protect our main unit in the front. .

Did your Strategy Work?

Yes, the strategy went well, the enemy (a fellow scholar in my Balthazar scholar, in case you are confused my number is 710). The attacks from the enemy lead to:

  • Back (enemy unit Pelacor Bandit attack our Hardy Stonefish)
  • Middle (enemy unit Venari Marksrat attacks our Merdaali Guardian)
  • Front (enemy unit Tide Bitter, and Torrent Fiend attack our Pelacor Bandit)

Meanwhile, our formation focuses on attacking the enemy in the first position so that it is quicker to kill the enemy and also because there is help from Merdaali Guardian who restores armor so that the enemy has difficulty killing our monsters behind and in front. At the end of the battle, the role of the Merdaali Guardian is clearly visible, where the enemy Pelacor Bandit who gets the effect of the Martyr ability his stats increase and becomes difficult to hit cannot kill our Tide Bitter because of the Repair ability which we can see below:
