Ruleset

From left to right :

  • Fire & Regret, this is the main theme of this battle.

  • Up to Eleven, all monsters has Amplify ability.

    • Amplify, increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.
  • Mana Cap 53.

  • Can use all element Except Earth

My Lineup and strategy

Usually in this ruleset Fire & Regret especially when combined with amplify we will try to avoid using range damage. But for this battle, we will use it because :

  • Surprise the enemy.
  • We want to use the monster with the ability Taunt which has range damage to control the enemy's damage and protect our attacker hoping our attacker with great damage can kill the enemy first before our Taunt monster dies.
  • Split the damage between the monster in the first position and the monster with the ability Taunt.
  • We want to use the monster who has range damage with the ability Triage (heal monsters not in the first position) to heal our Monster with the ability Taunt, this monster has a good support ability. We decided to use the Dragon element and the Water element. So this is our Line up :
Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster magic speed, range damage by -1We used this Dragon summoner because we want to use Chaos Dragon monster
Baakjira, 1st position, Tanker. Has the ability Void, Slow, Strengthen, and Heal. This formidable creature is a versatile solution capable of defending against melee, ranged, and magical attacks. It possesses significant durability with a high amount of health points, along with valuable abilities such as Void (reducing magic damage by 50%), Heal (restoring some HP each round), Strengthen (increasing the HP of all allied monsters by 1), and Slow (reducing enemy speed by 1). Its only drawback is its inability to launch attacks.
Deeplurker 2nd position, attacker. Has the ability Opportunity, Poison, and Demoralize. This monster possesses impressive offensive capabilities, featuring a potent attack stat and notable speed. It can attack from any position because has an ability called Opportunity, which allows it to target the enemy monster with the lowest HP. Additionally, this monster has the ability to inflict Poison, causing the affected enemy's HP to decrease by 2 each round. Moreover, its Demoralize ability serves as valuable support by reducing all incoming melee attacks from the enemy by 1. Placing this monster in 2nd position because I think Baakjira in the 1st position is a super strong defensive monster, so this position will be safe enough from the enemy attack.
Kulu Mastermind, 3rd position, attacker. Has ability Weapons Training, Opportunity, and, Shield. In my lineup, I have positioned this monster at 3rd position because I don't want the ability Weapon Training to be activated in Baakjira and make Baakjira can attack the enemy monster, there was some monster who has Retaliate, Backfire or Thorns ability, who can give damage to the monster who attacked it. This monster has Shield ability, which decreases half of the damage from both ranged and melee attacks. It has good damage and speed. it has the same Opportunity ability as Deeplurker and will cooperate together with Deeplurker to focus fire attacking on one enemy monster to kill it fast. However, its main weakness lies in its high mana cost, requiring a substantial amount of 9 mana
Chaos Dragon, 4th position, attacker, and support. Has Flying, Scattershot, Blast, and Blind AbilitiesThis particular monster possesses impressive magical prowess, dealing a significant amount of 4 magic damage. What sets it apart is its Blast ability, which inflicts additional damage to monsters adjacent to the target monster. Furthermore, its Flying ability enhances its evasion chances against melee and ranged attacks by 25%. Additionally, the Blind ability further increases the dodge capability of all friendly monsters by 15%. I have strategically positioned this monster to ensure its safety from enemy assaults, allowing it to unleash more attacks before this monster dead.
Angelic Mandarin, 5th position, attacker and support. Has Triage and Silence abilityI have chosen to place this monster in its current position because it possesses a valuable Triage ability that allows it to heal monsters that are not in the first position. We will use it especially to heal our monster with the Taunt ability. Additionally, its Silence ability proves useful by reducing the enemy's magic attack by 1.
Wave Brood, 6th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Taunt, Close Range, Void, and Return Fire. This monster provides an enhanced level of protection against ranged and magical attacks through its abilities. With Return Fire (although the ruleset makes all monster has this ability, this monster has always had it), it is capable of reflecting damage back to any ranged monster that attacks it. Additionally, its Void ability reduces the damage taken from magical attacks by half. The monster's taunt ability ensures that other monsters prioritize attacking it if they can. Although Wave Brood is typically a ranged attacker, its Close Range ability allows it to attack even when positioned in the first slot.

The Battle

Started with Buff and Debuff from both sides.

Round 1:
Not much happening in this round, both sides monsters attacking each other decreasing the HP but no monsters die yet.

  • Round 2:
In this round, the enemy with the ability Taunt Coeurl Lurker dies attacked by Deeplurker but is resurrected again by River Hellondale, but dies again receiving the Blast effect from Chaos Dragon.
Our Wave Brood died attacked by the enemy monster Runi.
So in this round monster with the ability "Taunt" from both sided die.

  • Round 3:
The enemy monster River Hellondale dies attacked by Deeplurker. Our Angelic Mandarin dies attacked by the enemy monster Runi.

  • Round 4 :
No monster die in this round, Both Deeplurker attacked each other and inflicted Poison status.

  • Round 5:
Our Deeplurker dies inflicted by poison status at the start of the round. The enemy Flying Squid dies attacked by our Kulu Mastermind. We got lucky blow this round our Chaos Dragon attacked randomly hitting the enemy Deeplurker and killing it. this Deeplurker is dangerous because can inflict poison status.

  • Round 6-8:
In this round, only Kulu Mastermind and Runi attacked each other. Runi was defeated by Kulu Mastermind because it has the ability Shield which makes the damage of Runi become half. But then the Runi resurrected again and once again killed this time by Chaos Dragon. In this round, we already can see that the victory is ours, the enemy only left Baakjira who can't attack. But let see how many round this Baakjira will last.

  • Round 7-10 skip to round 11
At round 11 finally, the Baakjira die attacked by Chaos Dragon. Baakjira is very tough, it takes 4-5 rounds to beat him with 2 monsters.

Did your strategy work?

Yes, it works, although every time our range monster attack it reflected back and give 2 damage, but the Angelic Mandarin Triage ability manage to prolong the life of Wave Brood. The Baakjira in the first position shares the damage with Wave Brood, our Baakjira was attacked by enemy Coeurl Lurker, and Flying Squid, so our Wave Brood only received an attack from 3 enemy monsters (enemy Baakjira can't attack), which gives time for our attacker monster to kill the enemy. In this battle, the enemy did not use the range monster. They bring a monster with Taunt ability too, they don't bring a healer but put it in front so the burden is very heavy, all our monsters attacked this Couerl Lurker. This monster has high speed, can evade all kinds of attacks including magic, and has an ability that increases the chance to dodge an attack by 25%. Coeurl Lurker is more expensive than Wave Brood for rent and buy. This is a tough battle, Lucky our Chaos Dragon damage can help to defeat the enemy, the enemy brings expensive monsters like Runi and their River Hellondale can increase the damage of the melee monsters. Fortunately, their Deeplurker Level is only 8 so don't have Demoralize. Although our Kulu Mastermind is only at level 2 but for Runi is hard to kill because has a shield.
