Ruleset
From left to right :
- Even Stevens, the only monster with even mana cost can be used in this battle.
- Keep Your Distance, melee monsters can't be used in this battle.
- Fire & Regret, is the main theme of this battle.
- Mana Cap 22.
- Can use the element Fire, Life, and Dragon.
My Lineup and strategy
- With Keep Your Distance ruleset, we only think about how to deal with range and magic attacks.
- Even Stevens ruleset, I don't memorize all monsters with even mana cost, but I know that with this even mana cost usually the enemy will not use a monster who can attack the monster behind (has Sneak and Opportunity ability) because in this even mana cost only little monster who has that ability, and usually that is melee monster. With Keep Your Distance ruleset we can be sure that the enemy will use a front attack only, attacking our monster in the first position.
We will use Dragon Element for this battle with the second element life. Dragon element summoner can decrease the range attack damage, and the monster in Life element can handle monsters with magic attacks. This is my line up :
Summoner or monster | Abilities | Description |
---|---|---|
Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster magic speed, range damage by -1 | We used this Dragon summoner because can decrease enemy range monster damage, and make our monster attack first by reducing the enemy's speed -1 | |
Pelacor Conjurer, 1st position, Tanker. Has the ability Flying, and Magic Reflect. | With this monster, we can reflect all enemy range, and Magic attacks back to the enemy. The ability Magic Reflect deals damage equivalent to the attacker's damage divided by 2, rounded up. The damage is reflected even if the attacker does not hit. The Flying ability can increase the chance to dodge enemy ranged attacks by 25%. | |
Time Meddler 2nd position, attacker, and 2nd tanker. Has the ability Dodge. | Put it in the 2nd position as a 2nd tanker because has High HP, and armor, this monster is a good defender against range monster attacks. ability Dodge will increase the chance to evade the enemy ranged attack by 25%. It only has 2 magic damage though. | |
Time Mage, 3rd position, attacker. Has the ability Slow. | This monster only has 3 HP easy to die so I put it in this position. used this monster because has the Slow ability that can decrease all enemy speeds by -1. I hope by decreasing the enemy's speed our monster can attack first, and kill the enemy tanker in the first position. | |
Ajax Lightfood, 4th position, attacker. Has Bloodlust abilities | Put this in the last position, because this monster is a range attack so can't attack if move to the first position. I use this monster although the damage will be reflected back because of the Bloodlust ability and high speed. With this ability every time this monster kills the enemy monster all stats will increase (damage, speed, and HP). We hope before this monster dies because of the reflected damage, it can kill the enemy monster first and gain some stats to prolong its life. |
The Battle
- Round 1:
We decrease the enemy speed with our summoner and Time mage, so all enemy speed is very low, all of our monster attacks first, The enemy only brings 2 attackers while our monsters have 3 attackers. Too bad Ajax Lightfoot's attack misses in this round. No monsters die in this round
- Round 2:
At the start of the round Ajax Lightfoot kill the Pelacor Conjurer, although the attack reflected back and decreased the HP when Bloodlust's ability activated, the HP, and all other stats increased. The enemy Clockwork Aide although has high armor but only 1 HP and with 1 hit killed by Time Mage who has a magic attack ignoring the armor. The enemy Venari Spellsmith was killed by Time Meddler.
- Round 3-4:
The enemy only left Rune Crafter who can't attack in the first position, was attacked by 3 of our monsters, and die killed by Ajax Lightfoot in round 4, and the victory become ours.
Did your strategy work?
Yes, the strategy work :
- Using the Pelacor Conjurer monster from the Life element make the monster can reflect back all our enemy monster attacks (range and magic damage).
- Dragon element summoner Quick the Devious combined with Time Mage make all our monsters attack first, at round 2 we can see that 3 enemy monsters kill at the start of the round, without a chance to attack back.
- The use of Ajax Lightfoot range monster who has the ability Bloodlust with high speed successfully activated the Bloodlust ability, and make damage from the Fire & Regret ruleset means nothing.
In this battle, both sides have some monsters not fully max level for the silver league, sometimes it's hard to rent gold card when Brawl happen. Many players rent it at once, and the stock of gold cards is not many.
