Splinterlands | These 2 monsters can attack from second position

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and spending an awesome time with your family and friends. Now for those who play splinterlands on a daily basis like me, I guess you guys are putting all of your efforts and skills into the game right now. Even though it feels like we have just completed playing the last ranked season, the clock is running fast in splinterlands and right now as we speak, there are only around 6 days and 6 hours left for this ongoing season to meet its end. So be sure to use your battle energies well and reach your goal as soon as possible, because we all know how bloody it becomes During the last days of any season, as almost all the OG players from around the world get super active during this time and try to reach their goals and obviously come with unbeatable decks. During the last season, I was so happy to reach the Champion III tier but during the last 2 days, I lost plenty of matches back to back which forced me to come down to the Diamond league again. So, let us play more cautiously this time and see how it goes.

Now moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post and following the series, let me pick another ability and display 2 monsters with you all. In my last post, I talked about 2 monsters with Void ability and in today’s article, I am going to showcase 2 monsters with Reach ability. For those who are new to the game, Reach is one of the oldest abilities in this game and generally melee attacking monsters possess this ability. With the help of this ability, any melee monster can attack from the second position of the lineup, so whenever you want to defend your front position or want to rely on melee attacks, you can choose monsters with Reach ability in the second position of your lineup. So, if you are interested, let us take a dive without any further ado.

Drybone Hobgoblin

The first card that I would like to showcase in this post is DRYBONE HOBGOBLIN and this is a monster card that got released into the game with the latest edition Rebellion Reward cards. Thus monster belongs to the Fire element and the attack type of this card is melee. It costs 4 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily select this monster while Playing small to medium mana limit matches or the ones with Little Leagues ruleset. It is a common type of card, so you will need a total of 400 BCX of cards To upgrade this monster to the maximum level. Now apart from a good melee attack at awesome speed and a large amount of health, it also possesses 3 abilities in its max level including the Reach, which I am going to talk about below.

At level 1, this card only gets 1 melee attack at 3 speed with 3 health and also receives 2 abilities since its initial level - Reach and Immunity. But as you start upgrading this card, it receives 2 melee attack at level 5, another new ability called Shatter at level 8 and finally when you upgrade this card to its max level, it possesses an increased 3 melee attack at 5 speed with 7 health along with those 3 abilities which I mentioned above. Now talking about the abilities, the Immunity ability will neutralize any negative status effects on this monster.

Endless Gibbon

Now moving on, let me talk about the second monster and as you have already seen it in the thumbnail above, I will be showcasing the amazing ENDLESS GIBBON with you all. Gibbon also got released with the latest Rebellion edition Reward card set and without a doubt, this is a very precious and special card and I think every player must have this card in their collection. Because this card only costs 1 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily choose this card in your lineup while playing micro mana limit matches. Anyway, The attack type of this card is Melee and it is a legendary type card, so you need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade this card to max level. This card belongs to the Water element and let us now take a peek into its league wise stats and abilities below.

At level 1, this card only possesses 1 melee attack at 2 speed with 2 health, but it receives the Reach ability from its initial level. Now as you start upgrading this card, it receives an increased 3 health at level 2, an increased 3 speed at level 3 and finally when you upgrade this card to its max level, it gets a further increased 2 melee attack at 3 Speed with 3 health along with the Reach ability. But however, though it does not receive any new ability other than Reach even at its max level, I think this card will be very useful because of its 2 melee attack.

I hope you liked reading my post and also loved these 2 monsters that I talked about above. Let me know which one among them is your favourite and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
