My Team:

Summoner: Quix the Devious (-1 Ranged damage, -1 Speed)

1. Djinn Chwala - Melee Damage Dealer with the Thorns, Enrage and True Strike abilities
2. Twilight Basilisk - Melee Damage Dealer with the Reach and Stun abilities
3. Dhampire Infiltrator - Melee Damage Dealer with the Sneak, Double Strike, Cripple and Affliction abilities
4. Drybone Raider - Melee, Ranged Damage Dealer with the Double Strike and Shatter abilities
5. Countess Sinash - Ranged Damage Dealer with the Opportunity, Camouflage, Swiftness, Affliction and Blast abilities
6. Tinderlock - Ranged Damage Dealer with the Close Range and Last Stand abilities

Strategy:

My main strategy was to counter the holy protection ruleset with as many attacks as possible. So I decided to use monsters with the double strike and blast abilities.

Position 1 - Djinn Chwala:

Great tank with huge damage potential while enraged. The thorns kind of make it a potential double striker as well.

Position 2 - Twilight Basilisk:

Easy choice for the second position because of the Reach ability. The stun can make a huge different in a fight but I usually don't count on it with my RNG-luck...

Position 3 - Dhampire Infiltrator:

Great for this ruleset in my opinion. Double strike decent damage and cripple hurts monsters even when they have some armor.

Position 4 - Drybone Raider:

Very mana consuming but perfect for this ruleset. Double strike that works in the back with the ranged attacks or in the front with the melee attack.

Position 5 - Countess Sinash:

The combination of Opportunity and Blast has the potential to shatter 3 of the holy shields in with one strike. Making the whole team faster with swiftness is a nice bonus.

Position 6 - Tinderlock:

Placed in the back for the potential Last Stand buff. There is not that many Sneak Monsters available for Even Stevens so it is worth a shot.

Round 1:

lineup (1).png
My team has the speed advantage and the Countess Sinash starts of by destroying 3 holy shields, but loses her own because of an opponent monster with return fire. RNG is on my side this round and Twilight Basilisk stuns Arkemis and by saving my Chwala from getting his damage halved.

Round 2:

lineup (2).png
My monsters take down Arkemis and the Mikita headhunter in the back, but I lose my tank in return. The remaining HP on both teams is almost even but the speed advantage is on my side.

Round 3:

lineup (3).png
This round starts of with an unlucky miss (25% chance) on my side but in return I get a 10% dodge so I guess the RNG was kind of even. With 4 vs 2 in the next and speed still on my side I can feel the victory approaching

Round 4:

lineup (4).png
The Drybone Raider misses both strikes (20% chance each) so this match goes in the 5th round. It is impossible for the Supply Runner to dodge the Countess though, so it will be a quick killing blow in the next and last round

Round 5:

lineup (5).png

Result:

In the middle of the match I was a bit worried that RND might make me lose this match. But even though there were quite a few lucky dodges (on both sides) it was a pretty clear victory in the end. Tinderlock didn't even get to use its last stand.
