Why I think Djinn Bilkja needs closer attention

It seems that there is never enough mana in a battle to be able to perfectly set up an attack. There is always the trade off between the brute force of the power offensive, balancing against playing multiple cards to have shields and the big 'team attack'.

I've been playing a number of battles recently in the Earth splinter, which I consider my go-to for a magic attack, and lead with the +1 magic summoner, Obsidian.

Over the past few weeks, I had been playing quite often with Djinn Bilkja at Level 1. He was OK, and with Obsidian, a cheap +2 magic attack. That said, he'd often get hit with a magic shot, and that would drop him pretty quickly.

Yet, I decided to have another look. Let's explore Mr Bilkja together:

  • At level 2, he gains +1 magic. Paired with Obsidian, this gives me a 3 magic attack card, for the cost of 3 mana.
  • The magic shield will weaken magic hits on him. This will let him survive that extra attack, which may well swing the battle in my favour.

And, the truth is, he's cheap card power. At the time of writing, he's worth $5.50 for 500 power. In anyone's timezone, you'd call that a bargain.

Tip: consider pairing Djinn Bilkja with the Mushroom Seer. The Mushroom Seer will lower your opponents magic attack, and will guarentee you a win if it's a magic vs magic battle! The Mushroom Seer will also void the 1 magic attacks that hit your Djinn Bilkja!
