This post is all about weekly challenge organized by #Splinterlands Community team.
This week's challenge is to use "Crypt Beetle" in your battles, and tell the community pros and cons of using a Crypt Beetle card in the battles.
Crypt Beetle Card Specs and Abilities:
Splinter = Death
Card Type = Common and Gold Foil
Mana Consumption = 3
Attack = 1 up to level 4, 2 up to level 9, and 3 at level 10
Armor = 1 from level 1 to 2, 2 from level 3 to 5, 3 from level 6 to 8, and 4 from level 9 to 10
Speed = 1 at level 1, and 2 from level 2 to 10
Life = 2 from level 1 to 3, 3 from level 4 to 6, 4 at level 7, and 5 from level 8 to 10
Special Abilities:
Crypt Beetle has Shield ability only, this ability reduces damages from melee and ranged attacks.
Battle Lineup
Summoner used Thaddius Brood
1 - Crypt Monster
2 - Silent Sha - Vi
3 - Undead Badger
4 - Death Elemental
5 - Carrion Shade
Battle Commentary / Strategy:

All cards are common in rarity and fights against a common enemy as well.
My battle is against a fire splinter enemy, the summoner boost their allies speed, so first attack is coming from their side. My summoner only removes 1 HP from enemy cards, since they all have melee and ranged attacks, the summoner ability to remove magic attack does not work.
Round 1
Fire Elemental hits Crypt Beetle and removes its shield, next Serpentine Spy kills Death Badger.
Death Elemental uses Snipe on Fire Elemental because he is not in first position and makes him a one hit wonder goner. Next attack by Silent Sha-Vi with a sneaky hit ruins Serpentine Spy's life.
Living Lava finally hits Crypt Beetle and sends it to hell, round 1 ends here.
Round 2
In this round Silent Sha-Vi faces Living Lava, but it is Death Elemental who hits first and weakens Living Lava, then Silent Sha-Vi slashed Living Lava and reduced his shield armor to 1 since LL is using Shield ability similar to Crypt Beetle.
Round 3
Now another magic attach by Death Elemental reduced Living Lava's HP to 3, and then Silent Sha-Vi removes his Shield, but takes 2 damages and moans for his life.
Round 4
Death Elemental keeps Living Lava at bay and reduces his life to 2 HP, but then Silent Sha-Vi gives another sneaky hit and Living Lava finished Silent Sha-Vi.
Round 5
Death Elemental has a good speed advantage, so it throws a magic ball into Living Lava's face, it is a conclusive blow and battle ends here. A win comes in the name of Lord Shah.
Putting the Crypt Beetle in first position made it hard for the enemy to reduce my team size, first round I lost two monsters, but it helped me reduce enemy lineup in 2nd round.
My strategy worked liked a charm, putting a low HP card in fist place consumed enemies turns, and I had a nice position to clean enemy's backline.
Is Crypt Beetle Good or Bad for Battle Strategy?
Yes, Crypt Beetle is good for battle at higher levels, say from level 6 as it gains good HP, although Mana remains unchanged, which is actually fine and can be managed to place the card even with low Mana battles, this battle lineup was set up with 18 Mana.
