How to counter Death with Death in the current Bronze meta (flawless match example below 20 mana!)

Having trouble going against Death decks in Bronze? Don't worry, there's no shame in that.

I know that countering the healing of 5-mana Haunted Spirit can be burdensome, especially when it's combined with incredibly fast and somewhat tanky snipe and sneak monsters that Death has at its disposal (notably Twisted Jester and Skeleton Assassin).

But enough of that! With a few relatively cheap cards to rent from the market, you can easily outmaneuver your Death opponent and leave him crushed to bits, staggered by your flawless and clever victory.

All you need to counter Death with Death is to include Shadowy Presence and Serpentine Mystic to your lineup together with Brighton Bloom summoner.

This works very nicely with 20 mana so you can utilize this strategy in most of your battles. See the example below!

Shadowy Presence costs just 1 mana and can absorb no less than 4 damage before going away. That means if you put it in the back of your lineup, a standard Death deck of your opponent with a few sneak monsters will waste at least two turns just to get past it.

Considering it's only 1 mana, seems like a great deal, especially in low mana fights where every move matters more. It is 0.44 DEC/day to rent right now.

Another great inclusion is Serpentine Mystic. It takes away the healing ability of Haunted Spirit, usually on its very first attack, which might seal the deal immediately, especially if you bring your own Haunted Spirit into the battlefield.

Put your Serpentine Mystic in a third position where it's usually the hardest to hit, and if you survive the first round, it's highly likely this card will pay off every time. Currently 0.1 DEC/day to rent only!

However, to use Serpentine Mystic, you must use Dragon summoner, and Brighton Bloom works perfectly in this scenario (0.15 DEC/day to rent atm).

This summoner gives flying ability to all of your monsters, which reduces the chance of being hit by melee and ranged attack. Coincidentally, this is what Death decks use the most anyway.

Battle lineup: Brighton Bloom (Summoner)+Death/ Haunted Spirit (5), Twisted Jester (4), Serpentine Mystic (3), Skeleton Assassin (3), Shadowy Presence (1).

Hopefully, this advice will prove useful and will win you some future matches. In a meantime, good luck in your battles!
