The terrifying lady now known as Obsidian, grew as the sole remaining Earth mage in the secluded community of Stonebluff. Every year, Earth elementalists left to fight in the competition, leaving Obsidian to teach the next generation of warriors. She wanted to compete in the champions' contest, but the village elders persuaded her not to, saying she should stay behind and focus on teaching others how to use Earth magic.
She felt bitter of how she was treated, despite the fact that she knew she was superior than past magicians. As a result, she devised a plan for retaliation. She offered Earth magic workshops in a mine near the settlement, earning the trust of her students. Her instructions were rigorous, and those who were unable to master the skills were punished by being forced to magically hold obsidian over their heads until it fell on them. She finally learnt how to use obsidian to boost the abilities of others. And she took one trainee under her care. Someone has a similar level of rage in his heart. In battle practice against other pupils, she boosted his talents, making him stronger and more savage than his opponents.
The town was built at the base of a cliff in the Tower Mountains, where rock slips were common. Not an issue for Earth wizards, but Obsidian and her apprentice had lost interest in the village. She regarded it as a chance to put her old life behind and pursue a challenge worthy of her abilities.
She dispatched her apprentice to start a large rock avalanche. She utilized her ability to intensify his while standing at a distance. Her other pupils hurried to stop it, but they were unprepared. Not in the face of such sheer strength. The rocks and debris fell, burying her house and transforming it into a wrecked field of stones and dust. She and her apprentice were the only ones who survived. The calamity had spread throughout the mountains, and only murmurs remained of Stonebluff.
Obsidian went away, her head held high, knowing that she had proven everyone incorrect. She and her apprentice traveled from town to town across the sea. They heard of the Chaos Legion's horror and followed their trail of ruin until they attracted Silas of the Rift's notice. She boosted her apprentice's powers to control and torment Silas' foes in order to demonstrate their might. Obsidian became a close advisor to Silas, who exploited him as a weapon to get information via torture.
Obsidian stood a few yards back, quietly watching her little trainee. His robes rustled in the breeze as he struggled to bring down the rocks on the people below.
Obsidian's hands moved through the air, and her thoughts expanded out. Her energies combined with her apprentice's boosted his abilities.
He yelled in response to the burst of energy pouring through him. The mountains rocked, and the ground under their feet rumbled. Then the rocks started to fall.
Step-by-step art..
First things first, the head! This thing looks like a pony's head! Just going to cut the unwanted part like I did with Tarsa!
Reshaped the head a little bit, and thought jaw lines would look good on her..
Couldn't do her original hair so did something I could do. Hair right now looking flawless!
Added additional hair to cover up her "vacant" forehead..
Her left hand is saying like "Come fight me!"..
I noticed that she has like some apron, so I put some pants under it..
Now adding her magical scepter, to make her more lethal...
Coloring her dress, and using another type of brush..
Changed her dress a bit and painting her skin in a brownie color..
Hair color is essential for a woman's charm, plus I preferred to keep her hair outlines black..
Instead of her grey crown I replaced it with another type of crown, putting a savage expression on her face, and adding green particles. Her blue eyes complete the look!
An elegant lady summoner in around 30 minutes or an hour!
