My Favorite Gladius Cards to Play

gladius summoners.jpg

We keep getting more and more reasons to increase our stake in guild membership and Gladius cards.

A couple of months ago we were introduced to a new set of rewards summoners with the ability to let us use one extra gladius card in our lineup.

More recently we were introduced to the new ruleset are you not entertained which grants the same ability.

So if you use one of these new summoners in a brawl with the new are you not entertained ruleset, you can potentially play 3 Gladius cards in a single lineup.

The Gladius cards are generally overpowered but like the rest of the cards in Splinterlands, they are not all created equally.

So, here's my top 4 favorite Gladius cards

  1. Quora Towershead

10 mana is a lot but this monster gives you a magic attack, melee attack and the self healing ability. Quora is like a combination of Kron the Undying and Oaken Behemoth which are both overpowered legendary cards. I can't wait to get my own copy because this card is so good.

  1. Katrelba Gobson

I'm a big sucker for the double strike ability. Having double strike gives you twice as many chances to power up with the bloodlust ability. The sneak ability makes it more likely that you'll find easy prey early on in the battle.

  1. Captain Katie

Captain Katie starts with a big enough magic attack to get in meaningful damage even against the void ability.

  1. Chimney Wallstop

Chimney was the first Gladius monster that I got to play with. Chimney is very comparable with Grum Flameblade and I love to use the pair of them together. That gives you 2 chances for one of them to get enraged and take over the match.
