Another week, another pack, let's see what happened in one of my packventures...
Pack Opening!:
I LOVE getting Corpse Fiend, as a Death main, Corpse Fiend makes Bronze CL playable. I hate Bronze Death in the current meta, but play very competitively with a Death team in Silver and Gold, so the more of these I get, the merrier for myself, my alts, and those I rent to.
I also like getting multiple Rares in a pack, that's always fun, these two happen to be two of my favorite cheap Rares.
Card Tips & Tricks
River Nymph
Normal Foil, Rare, Water Monster
The Amplifier of Water, with Cleanse and Amplify, she's an excellent magic support, and one of my favorite cards to utilize in Gold/Silver Water, where she can Amplify a Lir to devastating effect in certain situations
Adding Swiftness at Max Level is a gamechanger for Kelya, making her a devastating speed demon with the likes of Ruler of the Seas, River Nymph, and Supply Runner!
Corpse Fiend
Normal Foil, Legendary, Death Monster
You can't go wrong with a 0 Mana, if you can afford this, get it in GF. IMO, this card is the least important to Upgrade unless you are MAXING him. The 1 speed and 1 Health don't amount to much, but the Silence makes him a very powerful choice with Contessa and Mimosa.
Shadow Snitch
Normal Foil, Common, Death Monster
You guys all hate Shadow Snitch, but I'm here to tell you this is a devastatingly powerful CL Card at Max Level. I took a max Earth and max Death CL deck into a Diamond tourney and did really well with them. This guy slaps even in high mana where he is outclassed thanks to Evasion and high speed. Add in Lira the Dark and Supply Runner and you've got a dodgy piece of crap who's going to make your opponent rage quit.
Mycelic Infantry
Normal Foil, Rare, Earth Monster
An absolute favorite of mine for the Earth tanks: This guy hits HARD and is slow, making him perfect for Reverse Speed across ALL Leagues. With Giant Killer, Shield, and Enrage, he's no pushover, and he can topple giants.
Carrion Shade
Normal Foil, Common, Death Monster
Okay, look, I don't have much to say here. Get him to either Level 3, max Bronze, or Level 7, where he gains +1 Melee and has a 2:1 Melee to Mana cost ratio.
Also, if you're reading these you better have a GF of all of these 1 Manas, I'm telling you now, get that easy 10% DEF Bonus while it's ripe for the taking!
