Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm getting through them and will be sending out giveaways. I've been a little burnt out lately, been unlucky with Share Your Battles and Social Media Challenges lately, and all other upvotes that made me write more and more content have mostly disappeared, so I'm sort of sputtering out of gas lately. When my major posts underperform it tends to affect my energy for posting/writing in general, and last week was a pretty big bomb overall.
So let's go with some Openings:
As you know, its been a bit since I did one of these: I ran out of Merits! but now I've gained enough to buy a new pack, and here we are:
Spartan Helmets for Days, Hugo, Palidon, Bertol, AND Kotriphus are all wearing some neat Helmets here, we're only missing Helmet himself (who... isn't wearing a helmet... is he?)
Card Tips & Tricks
Isgard Vorst
Normal Foil, Common, Water Monster
An absolutely wild card, this guy has speed, armor, health, EVERYTHING. He's not a Deeplurker early on, but he surpasses Deeplurker in Speed, Armor, and Damage very quickly, and Piercing makes him a nearly universally powerful card. I plan to use him in most standard Water battles, where he's just GOOD. Opportunity will let him get Bloodlust quite often as well.
Hugo Strongsword
Normal Foil, Common, Life Monster
You're looking at Hugo like, wow, he's a weaker Chaos Knight? Wrong, incredibly wrong: This is a chunky, armored attacker who ramps up quickly with Speed, Enrage and Heal making him an incredibly tanky defender for a measly 5 Mana, I can't wait until I get this guy to Level 5, he'll quickly become a heavily used card.
Palidon Rakk
Normal Foil, Rare, Earth Monster
Palidon Rakk gets Stun pretty early on, hits like a truck, and has a ton of health. I'm gunna be making an effort to get this one to Level 4 so I can knock my competition out of the park in brawls.
He also gets Strengthen later on, making him a unique, supportive Tank.
Kotriphus Bayne
Normal Foil, Rare, Death Monster
Death has been lacking a Big Meaty Tank and this is the guy, with Retaliate and Enrage, his stats are a little simple, but he has an absolute metric crap ton of each. It'll take longer to get to Level 5 for this bad boy, but he'll be worth it. His mana cost is also really good for a Death tank, though, I wish he had Reach.
Bertrol Gobson
Normal Foil, Common, Earth Monster
You know I love Opportunity Gladiators and Gobson is no different: At 2 Mana, he brings 1-4 Melee to the table, along with Opportunity, Bloodlust, and Poison making him easily one of the best 2 Mana Earth cards in the game, I'll be using this little gem in nearly every low mana Earth Brawl there is.
Giveaway Time!
We got a lot of Earth monsters, but more particularly we got monsters with helmets so I'm going to do a themed Giveaway here... Choose your favorite Splinter (other than NEUTRAL or DRAGON) and I will give you a card with a Helmet or some type of headwear in that splinter. I will choose 3 Winners!
