Hello all Splinterlands warlocks, I am excited to write here and participate in the Splinterlands weekly challenge. Today, I write to participate in the Splinterlands Social Media Weekly Challenge and for this week, we have a new theme and not the usual random battle or the rebellion theme we participated in for 3 weeks. So today, as the theme suggests we share Splinterlands tips that we think will be beneficiary to newbies on the Hive platform. Without anticipating this, I will set the ball rolling.
So last week, I shared about my journey on the Splinterlands game and I hope you guys enjoyed my post. Splinterlands as we all know, is a web3 blockchain game that is built on the Hive platform, it is a card game where you select your teams and sit back and watch them battle or rumble. The concept of this game is to play battles against other players and win NFTs, SPS, DEC, and other prizes. The higher you advance yourself or your level, the higher your reward value. The game has five main leagues or stages of which four of them has three sub-leagues. The leagues are Novice, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Champions. This game involves investing an amount of 10$ to buy the spellbook and you are good to go. Let's look at some of the strategies as a beginner you should implement.
Strategy Tips for Beginners
Okay, this game really needs a lot of strategies and I would do my best to share a few here for the benefit of all. First of all, I would advise beginners to read and learn the rulesets in battles before attempting any battle. Understand the type of cards and the level for every battle. You need to know that as you keep on advancing in your league level, you should also upgrade your cards because you will be meeting higher-level monsters from your opponents too.
Moreover, before you start battling with opponents make sure you utilize the practice room very well and battle several times to advance and sharpen your skill. Also, learn and understand the six key elements in the game which include Earth, Water, Fire, Life, Death, and Dragon. Every card and its abilities and for that matter you need to understand each ability and what it does in a Battle so you can select cards to match the ruleset given in every battle.
In addition, I would say that you should learn how to be fast in choosing your team because there is time bound to every battle that is about to be undertaken. Be cautious about the mana condition and make sure to select your team to suit the mana given in every battle.
Lastly, be consistent, play more battles, make sure you learn from every battle that you play, and try not to repeat such mistakes in your subsequent battles.
Community Welcome
There are several Splinterlands communities and they include; Discord, Telegram, Twitter (X), and Facebook. I would urge beginners or every Splinterlands player to make sure you join one of these communities especially that of Discord where a lot of information and updates are kept. As for newbies, you really need these communities in order to advance your skill by asking of questions advanced players. I can assure you that you might get help from some of them as I can remember that one player delegated cards to me for free when I first joined the game. The people there are friendly and are always ready to help you advance in the game.
Early Experience in the Game
In my last week's post here I shared some of my experience there including how I started and how I found out about the Splinterlands game. My major challenge was finding a Brawl team to join, it wasn't really easy because you have to advance yourself to a certain stage before you can be considered. You shall lose a lot of battles and sometimes you will, even be discouraged to play again, just take a break and come back later to battle again.
