Greetings, human duelists! How are you all doing?
I'm going to start this series where we talk about some cards that have been replaced throughout this journey in @splinterlands.
It's important to clarify that these cards aren't bad, but like in any respectable card game, whenever a new and interesting card arrives, it can sometimes push others into oblivion, haha, due to having better stats and abilities while still fulfilling the role of the card it replaces.
In this post, I'll focus solely on the Dragon class, where on the left side, we have the card that used to be used, and on the right, the new addition. But to make it clearer, let's start with the examples and discuss them a bit:
🔛Gloridax vs Dragon Egg
Although Gloridax can no longer be played in the Modern league, back in its prime, it was used quite often. The only downside was that for it to deal damage in battle, it had to be in the first position or benefit from a specific rule that allowed it to attack, which made the strategy rather linear.

Since it moved to the Wild league, Dragon was left without a substitute for this mana cost.
But with this new set, our friend Dragon Egg appeared, and to me, it’s one of the best cards in this class due to its high speed and decent attack, giving us an excellent cost-benefit ratio for just 5 mana.
🔛Dragonling vs Fire Spitter
Now we move to the Wild league, where it’s the only way to play these cards. Here, the situation is a bit complex because we have few cards with this 4-mana cost.
But these archers are good, though I feel that Fire Spitter will always be your first choice due to its flying ability, speed, and health, leaving Dragonling on the bench as a substitute.

🔛Mighty vs Kraar
These two dragons can spark a bit of controversy as replacements. But I bring them up here for two reasons: first, hardly anyone has Mighty (I've never seen it in battle), and second, it can only be played in wild.
That’s why Kraar is its substitute, as the pool of 1-mana Dragon cards is very limited.

🔛Oshuur vs Larissa
Don't hang me for this one because both cards are good, but sadly, Oshuur has been benched since Larissa just does things better.
Interestingly, these cards aren't that old, and they can be played in both formats, but every time someone plays Larissa against me, I lose—of course, I’m talking about max-level cards. Even a level 2 Larissa beats our friend Oshuur; she's a beast that’s here to stay and claims the 7-mana starting spot.

In conclusion, these are the cards I feel have taken the lead as primary choices in battle for Splinterlands. But I’d appreciate your thoughts on this topic, as I feel the other cards in this class are quite evenly matched in terms of selection.

Saludos humanos duelistas como están...
Voy a empezar esta serie donde hablaremos de algunas cartas que han encontrado reemplazo a lo largo de todo este camino en @splinterlands.
Cabe aclarar que dichas cartas no son malas , sino que como buen juego de cartas que se respete siempre que llega una carta nueva e interesante puede que desplazar a otras al olvido jeje debido a que tiene mejores estadísticas y habilidades; pero ademas cumple la función de la carta reemplazada.
En este post me voy a enfocar solo en la clase Dragón donde en la parte izquierda esta la carta que se usaba y en la derecha el nuevo fichaje ,pero bueno para que me entiendan comencemos con los ejemplos y hablemos un poco de ellas:
Gloridax vs Dragon Egg
Aunque Gloridax ya no se puede jugar en liga de Moderno en sus buenos tiempos se usaba, lo único malo era que para que hiciera daño en batalla si o si debería estar en primera posición, o que la regla en curso le permitiera atacar lo que le hacia, con lo que la estrategia era muy lineal .
Como paso a la liga de wild, Dragón se quedo sin un suplente para este costo de mana.
Pero con este nuevo set que llego , apareció nuestro amigo Dragon Egg ,que para mi es una de las mejores carta de esta clase por su velocidad elevada y un ataque decente, dándonos un excelente costo beneficio por tan solo 5 de mana.
Dragonling vs Fire spitter
Nos vamos a la liga de wild donde es la única forma de jugar estas cartas. Aquí el tema es un poco complejo porque tenemos pocas cartas con este costo de mana de 4.
Pero estos arqueros son buenos, aunque siento que Fire spitter siempre va a ser tu primera opción por su habilidad de volar, velocidad y su vida dejando, a Dragonling en el banquillo de suplentes.
Mighty vs Kraar
Estos 2 dragones su sustituto puede ser algo polémico. Pero lo traigo aquí simplemente por 2 razones, la primera Mighty casi nadie la tiene ( nunca la he visto en batalla ) y la segunda solo se puede jugar en wild.
Es por eso Kraar es sus sustituto ya que el pool de cartas 1 para dragón es muy reducido.
Oshuur vs Larissa
No me vallan a colgar ya que las 2 cartas son buenas, pero Oshuur tristemente esta en el banco ya que Larissa hace mejor las cosas que el.
Curiosamente estas cartas no son tan viejas y se pueden jugar en los 2 formatos, pero siempre que me juegan a Larissa pierdo; claro te estoy hablando con las cartas en su máximo rango. Incluso Larissa en Nivel 2 le gana a nuestro amigo, es que una bestia que vino a quedarse y tener la titular de mana 7.
En conclusión estas son mis cartas que siento que llevan la titularidad en elección principal frente a afrontar una batalla en splinterlands.
Pero agradecería tu apreciación al respeto frente a este tema, ya que las otras cartas de esta clase siento que son muy parejas para elegir.
