We are just days away from the end of the season, I am sure that many of us are waiting with excitement the beginning of the next season, since we will get new cards in the rewards of the chests; I think this announcement of Splinterlands is really exciting and keeps us all with great expectation, from my point of view these cards linked to the soul will be very useful and will motivate us to play more and to analyze their skills.
But the subject of this post is totally different, because with the existing cards, sometimes we forget certain skills that in our strategies can be lethal, this time I will talk about BackFire; before I must admit that I underestimated the use of this ability, but it is quite the opposite, this ability is really useful and very effective in battles. BackFire can be compared to the ability Thorns and Magic Reflex, since they return the damage every time our opponent attacks.
Therefore we are causing damage with the same attack of our opponent; but by using the BackFire skill you get a better performance using cards that are fast and can dodge all attacks, with this we can return the melee and ranged attacks, later I will show which are ideal cards to combine with this summoner (Aquatus).
For example:
- Kelp Initiate: It is a very fast card that can be used in the first position to try to resist in battle, so when combined with BackFire, we can easily return attacks, since 5 speed is quite acceptable.
- Phantom of the Abyss: This card has two abilities to dodge melee and ranged attacks, besides having a speed of 6, but when combined with BackFire, it can be a real nightmare for our opponents; because it dodges and returns almost all attacks; besides that it causes more damage with the magic attack. Although there are other options in the water element and neutral cards, but without a doubt Kelp Initiate and Phantom of the Abyss are very effective with the ability granted by the summoner (Aquatus).
Conclusion.
It is worth mentioning that I usually play in wild mode, but in this last season I started to use modern mode, but my biggest problem was not having my two favorite summoners, which strengthen the magic attack as they are: Alric Stormbringer and Delwyn Dragonscale; therefore I opted to use Possibilus the Wise and Aquatus to strengthen my strategy in the water element; but without a doubt Aquatus was the one who allowed me to improve my performance and be able to reach the silver league in this mode. Now let's see an example of the battles in which I use this summoner.
