You’ve probably noticed that once we hit a certain rank threshold, unlike before where it was just about ranking up, we can now earn Rebellion Reward Cards. It seems like this change was introduced this season, and it’s encouraging more players to actively participate in matches. I know many people think Glints aren’t valuable since they can only be exchanged for Reward Cards, and it takes a lot of $DEC to unlock them. But for those players, this might provide a bit more motivation to keep playing. At least for me, it makes me more motivated to play Splinterlands.
I’m pretty neutral about this change. More and more players are leaving Splinterlands, and it’s still unclear what kind of impact this will have. Splinterlands has already become a farm for speculators, and while they’re trying to get rid of the bad actors, they’re also losing the core value of the game at the same time.
