Splinterlands Art Contest - River Nymph

Greetings Hiveans, It's me Daks..!

The Chibi Art Style is so cute, that’s why I decided to use this drawing style for my entry in the Splinterlands Art Contest.

So, I thought about which Splinterlands Character would be cute to make into a Chibi baby, and I decided to make the cute Water Element, River Nymph.

For those who are not familiar with the Monster unit River Nymph, this card is very useful because it can remove negative effects on your tank. In addition, unlike other buff ability cards, River Nymph has an attack.

So let’s go! Let’s start with how I drew this super cute Chibi River Nymph.

Process.
The first thing I did was draw a cute short hair in Chibi style, of course, with a big head because it’s Chibi.

Next, I added details like a crown, dress, wrote on the ears, to make her look like a River Nymph.

Then I cleaned up the drawing.

Once it was clean and ready for coloring, I started coloring, along with adding shadows.

After coloring the art, I blurred the edges of the shadows to make them look soft.

If you notice, all my colors are blurred. I think it looks good when the blending is soft.

I also added gloss to her hair to make it look nice.

Once the character was okay, I moved on to the background, so I drew an outline of the water splash that I would use.

After drawing the water, I colored it and used a bit of smudge brush.

I duplicated it, stretched the one in the back to make it bigger, and lowered the opacity.

For the very background, I just did a gradient and a simple stroke of the airbrush.

I hope you enjoy my Chibi River Nymph Fan art.
