Rough Draft:
Finding a new purpose for the Rank Battles & Tournaments which can potentially lead to a tremendous growth in business. here is how we can achieve it :
Phase 1 : Post-Season
-Top 100 are automatically entered in a (End of season) SPL Ghost tournament to defend their
Position in the rankings
-Tournament rewards to be determined (split rank reward pool between Rank Battles & Tournament)
⁃Top 10 on the leaderboards automatically advance to quarter finals & will be able to claim partial prize of their current ranking
⁃Top 11-25 will automatically advance to next round of the tournament & be eligible for partial prize of their current ranking
⁃Top 26-50 will be able to claim partial prize of their current ranking
⁃leaderboard & all player's ratings to be reset to bronze 1 at End of Season
*Note: I will let you Math Magicians figure out what DEC percentage or amount to be distribute to the tournament & Partial Rank Battle End of Season Claims
Primary Focus:
⁃ Motivate & Influence new players to try out new cards & abilities (during Ghost tournaments)
⁃ Challenge for position
⁃ Reduce the payout on leaderboards by splitting reward pool with ghost tournaments
⁃ Help market the tournaments & interconnect tournaments w/rank battles
⁃ Create a competitive environment within the community
⁃ Filter out any unfair gameplay or camping
Conclusion:
This creates a fair opportunity for new players & existing players to compete, learn and interact with the Splinterlands community. We need to reward players who take the time to learn strategies and build their battle Decks, which will may lead to a re-investing and an increase of their Splinterlands assets.
BOLTZ85 Final Thoughts:
I know that i might upset a few Members, specially the people on top of the leaderboards but we need something better for the New Players Experience. Remember at the end of the day a larger gathering of buyers and sellers usually pulls the exchange price towards equilibrium, as result, the higher volume we have the better standing the company is going to be in.
Would love feedback or any suggestions
