Unprotected Doesn't Mean Harmlees!
It's time for a new challenge on Splinterlands: this time the ruleset proposed by the Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge requires you to tackle the battle... naked!
The Unprotected ruleset in fact completely removes Armor from any creature and neutralizes any ability that generates Armor: creatures can therefore rely only on their own Health.
This removes one of the main advantages of creatures with magic attacks, since these usually directly affect Health while ignoring Armor.
On the other hand, creatures with melee or ranged attacks can become even more useful than usual, because they will not risk wasting any attacks against the Armor of enemy creatures!
Let's see a battle!
This battle gives us a good example:
The Unprotected ruleset encourages me to use a mix of creatures with magic, melee and ranged attacks, since enemy creatures have no Armor and the only real difference between all these attacks is limited to the fact that magic attacks cannot miss the target - no small difference.
Thanks to the high number of mana available both my opponent and I can field a large number of creatures, including a beautiful Gold Foil Usut, which will prove crucial in the course of the battle thanks to the bloodlust ability.
Void Dragon also turns out to be a wise choice: thanks to its high speed it dodges many enemy attacks and with the void ability it halves the damage of the magical attacks it sustains.
The fourth round is the decisive one for the game, with the lethal Tatyana Blayde challenging my line-up and threatening to crush my chances of victory.
However, once this dangerous enemy card has been eliminated, the remaining opponent's creatures can do nothing against my Usut, which seals the game in style, becoming increasingly powerful and devastating!
The MVPs of the match
There is no doubt that the creatures that made the most difference in my lineup were the formidable Legendary Dragons Void Dragon and Usut.

The former managed to withstand plenty of enemy attacks, protecting my other creatures and causing the enemy to waste precious damage points, while the latter, empowered by the bloodlust ability, managed to end the game when my hopes were dwindling.
Thanks to this Challenge we were thus able to put an interesting ruleset to the test, refining our strategies and learning a little more about the game.

E' tempo di affrontare una nuova sfida su Splinterlands: stavolta il ruleset proposto dalla Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge prevede di affrontare la battaglia... a petto nudo!
Il ruleset Unprotected rimuove infatti completamente l'Armatura da ogni creatura e neutralizza ogni abilità che genera punti Armatura: le creature possono perciò fare affidamento solo sulla propria Salute.
Ciò elimina uno dei principali vantaggi delle creature con attacchi magici, dato che questi di solito colpiscono direttamente la Salute ignorando l'Armatura.
Di contro, le creature con attacchi corpo a corpo o a distanza possono diventare ancora più utili del solito, perchè non rischieranno di sprecare alcun attacco contro l'Armatura delle creature nemiche!
Vediamo una battaglia!
Questa battaglia ci fornisce un buon esempio:
Il ruleset Unprotected mi sprona infatti ad usare un mix di creature con attacchi magici, da mischia ed a distanza, dato che le creature nemiche non hanno Armatura e l'unica vera differenza tra tutti questi attacchi si limita al fatto che gli attacchi magici non possono mancare il bersaglio - una differenza non da poco.
Grazie all'alto numero di mana a disposizione sia io che il mio avversario possiamo schierare un gran numero di creature, tra le quali un bellissimo Usut in versione Gold Foil, che si rivelerà fondamentale nel corso della battaglia grazie alla abilità bloodlust.
Anche Void Dragon si rivela una scelta azzeccata: grazie alla sua alta velocità schiva molti attacchi nemici e con l'abilità void dimezza i danni degli attacchi magici subiti.
Il quarto round è quello decisivo per la partita, con la letale Tatyana Blayde che impensierisce il mio schieramento e rischia di far crollare le mie possibilità di vittoria.
Tuttavia, una volta eliminata questa pericolosa carta nemica, le restanti creature avversarie non possono nulla contro il mio Usut, che chiude alla grande la partita, diventando sempre più potente e devastante!
Gli MVP della partita
Non ci sono dubbi che le creature che più hanno fatto la differenza nella mia formazione siano stati i formidabili Draghi Leggendari Void Dragon ed Usut.

Il primo è riuscito a resistere a moltissimi attacchi avversari, proteggendo le altre mie creature e facendo sprecare preziosi punti danno al nemico, mentre il secondo, potenziato dall'abilità bloodlust, è riuscito a chiudere la partita quando le mie speranze si stavano assottigliando.
Grazie a questa Challenge abbiamo quindi potuto mettere alla prova un interessante ruleset, affinando le nostre strategie ed imparando a conoscere un po' meglio il gioco.
