Pablito nació en Caracas, cuando tenía aproximadamente unos siete años de edad, decidió dar una vuelta por la playa solo, la playa en cuestión quedaba cerca de su casa pero antes de ir le pidió permiso a su madre porque su padre estaba trabajando y esta se lo dio, pero le dijo que tuviera mucho cuidado, a medida que se acercaba a la playa se quedó impresionado.

Pablito was born in Caracas, when he was about seven years old, he decided to go for a walk on the beach alone, the beach in question was near his house but before going he asked his mother for permission because his father was working and she gave it to him, but she told him to be very careful, as he approached the beach he was impressed.

Resulta que en la orilla del mar habían muchos pescadores y espectadores, era una mañana donde el sol estaba radiante, se sorprendió porque acababa de llegar y al instante se oyó el eco del tiro de la salida del tren que pasaba muy cerca del lugar, habían muchas personas que estaban a la expectativa de aquel trabajo que se estaba llevando a cabo en ese momento y él asombrado con todo lo que veía se preguntó ¿Qué hacen?

It turns out that on the seashore there were many fishermen and spectators, it was a morning where the sun was shining, he was surprised because he had just arrived and instantly he heard the echo of the shot of the departure of the train that passed very close to the place, there were many people who were waiting for that work that was being carried out at that time and he was amazed with everything he saw and wondered What are they doing?

Estaban esperando que se indicara cuando halarían la red para sacar los peces que estarían a la venta; en cuestión de segundos los hombres hicieron dos filas para empezar a halar la red con tanta fuerza que en fracciones de segundo sacaron los peces, los cuales eran imposible de contar, dicho espectáculo lo llenó de una gran emoción.

They were waiting to be told when they would pull the net to catch the fish that would be for sale; in a matter of seconds the men made two lines to start pulling the net with such force that in fractions of a second they caught the fish, which were impossible to count, such a spectacle filled him with great emotion.

Es cierto que los pescadores hacen este maravilloso trabajo con tanta pasión, pero Pablito nunca había tenido el privilegio de verlo con mis propios ojos desde tierra y por eso le dieron muchas ganas de ser uno de esos pescadores para adentrarse en la playa y hacer tan hermoso trabajo y así convertirse en un gran pescador, así sentiría el placer y la dicha de que estos peces llegasen hasta sus hogares para satisfacer a los que los comerían junto a toda su familia.

It is true that fishermen do this wonderful job with so much passion, but Pablito had never had the privilege of seeing it with my own eyes from land and that is why he wanted to be one of those fishermen to go into the beach and do such a beautiful job and thus become a great fisherman, so he would feel the pleasure and joy of these fish reaching their homes to satisfy those who would eat them with his whole family.

Pablito imaginaba a las personas preparando esos pescados para la hora del almuerzo y a medida que pasaba el tiempo soñaba con que él también pudiera aprender más y más de este magnífico trabajo, bien sea que los pescara desde tierra o en una lancha en lo profundo del mar y así podria deleitarse con ellos también porque son sus favoritos a la hora de comer.

Pablito imagined the people preparing these fish for lunch time and as time went by he dreamed that he could also learn more and more of this magnificent work, whether he fished them from land or in a boat in the deep sea and so he could also enjoy them because they are his favorite at lunch time.

Entre los que realizaban tan magnífica labor estaba un gran amigo, que no sabía que se había mudado a la zona, se llamaba Juan Carlos y el tenía una gran familia que lo acompañaba cada día a ese fantástico lugar en la playa a pescar, ya que a los niños les gustaba hacer pequeños castillos de arena y estar en la orilla jugando con el agua.

Among those who performed such magnificent work was a great friend, who I did not know had moved to the area, his name was Juan Carlos and he had a large family that accompanied him every day to that fantastic place on the beach to fish, since the children liked to make small sand castles and be on the shore playing with the water.

Él invitó a Pablito a montarse con ellos en la barca y a ayudarlos a pescar algo, sucede que este trabajo no era tan fácil como parecía pues tenían que ir a lugares específicos echar las redes y esperar que vinieran los peces muchos de los cuales eran muy rápidos y astutos. Además, Juan Carlos, le contó a Pablito que en muchos momentos el sol pegaba con tal intensidad que en algunos momentos los pescadores sienten la imperiosa necesidad de echarse al agua a nadar, lo que puede alejar a los peces que desean atrapar.

He invited Pablito to join them in the boat and help them catch some fish, but this job was not as easy as it seemed because they had to go to specific places to cast their nets and wait for the fish to come, many of which were very fast and cunning. In addition, Juan Carlos told Pablito that in many moments the sun was so intense that at times the fishermen felt the imperious need to go into the water to swim, which could drive away the fish they wanted to catch.

Con esta experiencia Pablito pudo comprender que ser un pescador no es un trabajo fácil, por esa razón, concluyó que la paciencia es esencial para realizar este trabajo, que no debe apresurar las cosas porque eso puede alejarlo de conseguir lo que realmente necesita. Por eso, cada vez que Pablito va a la playa recuerda la lección que aprendió, que a veces las cosas que deseamos se nos pueden escapar si no somos pacientes y esperamos el momento justo y el lugar apropiado.

With this experience Pablito was able to understand that being a fisherman is not an easy job, for that reason, he concluded that patience is essential to do this job, that he should not rush things because that can take him away from getting what he really needs. For that reason, every time Pablito goes to the beach he remembers the lesson he learned, that sometimes the things we want can escape us if we are not patient and wait for the right time and the right place.
