Para los que me conocen sabrán que soy una fiel creyente de Dios, que me deleito en su palabra y en todas esas promesas que desde mucho tiempo atrás dejo para nosotros. Es decir, que tengo un estilo de vida algo diferente, un estilo donde Dios es el centro de mi vida y trato en la medida de lo posible, ser mejor persona cada día con el fin de agradarle a él y poder en algún momento estar ante su presencia.

Pero ciertamente, hay una religión con la que me identifico y es la cristiana evangélica; es por ello, que soy bautizada y me congrego en una iglesia de este tipo. Cabe resaltar, que hay una actividad que para mí ha resultado ser muy importante desde que entendí que todo cuanto tenemos proviene de parte de Dios y como agradecimiento debemos ayudar a otras personas con nuestros recursos, tiempo, habilidades y talentos. Sin embargo, como un evento de agradecimiento siempre al comienzo de año celebramos “Las Fiestas de Primicias” que en el Antiguo Testamento, específicamente en Éxodo 23:19 nos dice que “Las primicias de los primeros frutos de tu tierra traerás a la casa de Jehová tu Dios”.

Para entrar un poco más en contexto, la palabra primicias lo que quiere decir es que el primer fruto de cualquier cosa, son los que debemos ofrecer a Dios en acción de gracias por su bondad y bendiciones. Partiendo de la definición presentada por el Diccionario Real de la Academia Española, establece que primicia significa “Noticia, hecho que se da a conocer por primera vez”. Dios estableció las primicias como un principio que el pueblo de Israel tenía que practicar, y que posteriormente los cristianos aplicaron con sus ganados y cosechas, que se daban a la iglesia cumpliendo de esta manera con el principio de que lo primero de cada cosa le pertenece a Dios.

Ahora bien, el año que termino tuve que pasar por un proceso de cambio de iglesia a una muchísimo más grande que la anterior y entonces por primera vez asistí a la fiesta de primicias de la Iglesia Las Buenas Nuevas Multisede, una iglesia bastante reconocida por la manera tan simple que llevan el evangelio y que consta de cuatro iglesias ubicadas en diferentes puntos de la ciudad.
Now, this past year I had to go through a process of changing churches to one much larger than the previous one and then for the first time I attended the first fruits party of the Good News Multi-Site Church, a church well known for the simple way they carry the gospel and which consists of four churches located in different parts of the city.

Entonces establecieron las fechas, serian tres días de festejo en un salón dentro de un Centro Comercial hacia el este de la ciudad viernes, sábado y cerraban el domingo; el primer día estuvo conformado de bailes folklóricos, coreografías, un clamor por Venezuela y un invitado especial que nos enseño sobre las leyes que implemento la mujer Sumanita para arrebatar su momento (Leyes de insistencia, honra, discernimiento y diligencia).

El segundo día, continuamos con coros donde adoramos y alabamos el nombre de nuestro Dios; de igual manera la predicación estuvo a cargo de un pastor invitado algo particular y es que se trataba de un señor de 77 años proveniente de la ciudad de Puerto Ordaz, que sinceramente yo pensé sería algo aburrido y la verdad fue todo lo contrario. El tema se centro en la fe y como lo que hacemos en el presente determinara nuestro futuro, la verdad que fue bastante bueno y de la que aprendí muchas cosas, sobre todo a ver el evangelio como una relación y no como una religión.
The second day, we continued with choirs where we worshiped and praised the name of our God; in the same way the preaching was in charge of a somewhat particular guest pastor, a 77 year old man from the city of Puerto Ordaz, who I sincerely thought would be something boring and the truth was quite the opposite. The theme was centered on faith and how what we do in the present will determine our future, the truth is that it was quite good and I learned many things, especially to see the gospel as a relationship and not as a religion.
Para el ultimo día, la oración estuvo centrada en la bendición de nuestras primicias cantos de exaltación a nuestro Dios y el invitado de ese día un andino pastor de la iglesia Las Buenas Nuevas Mérida que nos hablo sobre la confianza a Dios, y que él lo que nos pide es un grano de confianza. Finalmente el evento se cerró con una oración y con los agradecimientos a todas las personas que hicieron posible tan grande evento.
For the last day, the prayer was focused on the blessing of our first fruits, songs of exaltation to our God and the guest of the day was an Andean pastor of the church Las Buenas Nuevas Merida who spoke to us about trusting God, and that what he asks of us is a grain of trust. Finally the event was closed with a prayer and with thanks to all the people who made this great event possible.
Es importante tener claro que las primicias son un acto de confianza y que hay que hacerlo con un corazón dispuesto. Cuando de corazón llevamos nuestras primicias ante la presencia de Dios, estamos reconociendo que Dios es la fuente de nuestra provisión y que él nos prosperará en todo lo que emprendamos.
It is important to be clear that the first fruits are an act of trust and must be done with a willing heart. When we wholeheartedly bring our first fruits into God's presence, we are acknowledging that God is the source of our provision and that he will prosper us in all that we undertake.
