La vida no se detiene y cuando se trata de dar lecciones, mucho menos. Me encanta socializar y hoy día, gracias a mis actividades físicas, tengo más personas con quienes hablar y compartir. No crean que entre estos grupos solo se habla de deporte no, no. La lista de temas es infinita.

En la mañana, mientras entrenaba, una amiga comentó acerca de la edad. Otra responde, para mí es sólo un número, ¿será cierto? ¿Es la edad solo un número?
Sin duda alguna un número sólo brinda información. Ahora bien, detrás de cada número se forman muchísimas ideas y también especulaciones sobre los mismos. Por ejemplo, durante una rutina de entrenamiento, se observa llegar a una mujer adulta, de inmediato llegarán los perjuicios, ¿sí o no? Puede entonces que con base a los comentarios alguna personas se limite, ¿cierto?
Bien, este ejemplo fue un simple detonante, un argumento con el que se puede ilustrar el tema. Luego de ello vino una pregunta entre los presentes.
In the morning, while training, a friend commented about age. Another replied, to me it's just a number, is it true, is age just a number?
Undoubtedly, a number only provides information. However, behind every number there are many ideas and speculations about them. For example, during a training routine, an adult woman is observed arriving, and immediately the prejudices will arrive, yes or no? Maybe then based on the comments some people will limit themselves, right?
Well, this example was a simple trigger, an argument with which to illustrate the topic. This was followed by a question from the floor.
¿Cómo te sientes en relación a tu edad?
Soy la mayor del grupo y mi respuesta fue: ¡Excelentemente, bien! Feliz y orgullosa de mi misma. No todos tenemos posibilidad de tener larga vida, ni mucho menos en condiciones optimas de salud así que, me siento privilegiada gracias a mi Dios.
Logicamente no es lo mismo tener 20 años a 57, aún así no me siento menos que nadie ni siquiera al momento de hacer deporte. Todo es evolución. La madurez marca diferencias. Des mi experiencia personal siento que he crecido. Desde diferentes aspectos así lo creo. No me importa asumir nuevos retos teniendo en cuenta no mi edad sino mis competencias.
No me acostumbro a vivir de una manera pasiva sin las expectativas de desafiarme a mi misma. La edad no me limita, no me acompleja, no me aflije. Mientras siga teniendo esta actitud les aseguro que no habrá límites.
I am the oldest in the group and my response was: Excellent, good! Happy and proud of myself. Not all of us have the possibility of living a long life, much less in optimal health conditions, so I feel privileged thanks to my God.
Logically it is not the same to be 20 years old than 57, even so I don't feel less than anyone else, not even when doing sports. Everything is evolution. Maturity makes a difference. From my personal experience I feel that I have grown. From different aspects I think so. I don't mind taking on new challenges, taking into account not my age but my skills.
I do not get used to live in a passive way without the expectations of challenging myself. My age does not limit me, it does not bother me, it does not worry me. As long as I continue to have this attitude, I assure you that there will be no limits.
Sin embargo, tampoco pretendo mostrar lo que no soy. Acepto el trato respetuoso que me dan y lo recibo con humildad. Nada más sensato para mí que saber ubicarme frente a los demás.
Reconozco mi talento, reconozco mis potencialidad y habilidades como lo dije anteriormente pero no es la edad quien me condiciona.
However, I also do not pretend to show what I am not. I accept the respectful treatment I am given and receive it with humility. There is nothing more sensible for me than knowing how to place myself in front of others.
I recognize my talent, I recognize my potential and abilities as I said before, but it is not my age that conditions me.
¿Es la edad sólo un número entonces? Sí, para mí lo es. Un número que cada persona representa de acuerdo a su propia actitud. Conozco jóvenes con actitud de muchos adultos y hasta de ancianos. Tengo exalumnos literalmente más envejecidos que yo. Entonces, es un tema de actitud y no de la edad.
Is age just a number then? Yes, for me it is. A number that each person represents according to his or her own attitude. I know young people with the attitude of many adults and even old people. I have alumni literally older than me. So, it's a matter of attitude and not age.
