Pintando mi Mándala de Bienestar

Quiero comenzar diciendo que para poder participar tuve que documentarme al respecto. Leí sobre la conceptualización, tipos, colores, formas, significado y para qué sirven.
Los mándalas son dibujos abstractos que sirven como técnica de terapia para estimular la creatividad, liberar el estrés y, mejorar la capacidad de concentración y el estado anímico.

I want to start by saying that in order to participate I had to document myself about it. I read about the conceptualization, types, colors, shapes, meaning and what they are for.
Mandalas are abstract drawings that serve as a therapy technique to stimulate creativity, release stress and improve concentration and mood.

Mi primer mándala ¿Cómo fue la experiencia? / My first Mandala How was the experience?

No pienso ocultar la verdad pero el inicio fue estresante debido a qué no sabía qué hacer ni por dónde comenzar, 😂😂 por tal motivo tuve que buscar información. Al observar algunas imágenes, estuve más clara de cómo empezar.

I don't want to hide the truth but the beginning was stressful because I didn't know what to do or where to start, 😂😂 so I had to look for information. By looking at some images, I was clearer on how to start.

El proceso / The process

Lo primero que hice fue dibujar una circunferencia hasta donde me dió el compás y con el transportador marqué los puntos por dónde pasarían las rectas, tratando de ser equitativa.

The first thing I did was to draw a circumference, up to what the compass gave me and with the protractor I marked the points where the straight lines would pass, trying to be equitable.

Los círculos consecutivos los tuve que hacer a mano alzada porque con el compás no se pudo.

I had to draw the consecutive circles freehand because I couldn't do it with the compass.

Aquí comenzó la complicación, ni idea de qué hacer, al rato después de pensar, fue entonces que decidí empezar con la inicial de mi nombre (Arelis) que es la misma de mis hijos (Adrián y Alonso) y de mi nieto (Arán); en este sentido involucraba de alguna manera a mis seres amados.

Here began the complication, no idea what to do, after a while of thinking, it was then that I decided to start with the initial of my name (Arelis) which is the same of my children (Adrian and Alonso) and my grandson (Aran); in this sense involved somehow to my loved ones.

Luego el dilema fue llenar el círculo de corazones y ¡Qué problema! No supe hacerlo y dibujé algunos.🤭

Then the dilemma was to fill the circle with hearts and what a problem! I didn't know how to do it and I drew some.

Una vez ubicada en el siguiente espacio circular comencé a adaptarme y realicé unos pétalos. Al llegar aquí, me sentí ansiosa de saber cuáles serían los tonos que quería usar en el mándala.

Entonces busqué unos creyones; aclaro que no estoy en mi casa y uso lo que encuentro por ahí. Los creyones no son de buena calidad pero soy gracias a Dios por tenerlos porque igual pude colorear. Los colores usados para pintar está primera parte del mándala fueron mis favoritos: azul, rosado y verde. La letra la pinté de amarillo para resaltarla.

Once located in the next circular space I started to adapt and made some petals. When I got here, I felt anxious to know what would be the tones I wanted to use in the mandala.
Then I looked for some crayons; I clarify that I am not at home and I use what I find around. The crayons are not of good quality but I thank God for having them because I was able to color anyway. The colors used to paint this first part of the Mandala were my favorites: blue, pink and green. I painted the letter in yellow to make it stand out.

Los corazones que simulan flores, en rosado para representar la delicadeza y el amor por la familia. El azul oscuro que me encantó, lo usé para separar el verde y destacar los pétalos. Los puntos amarillos buscando la armonía con el color de la letra.

The hearts that simulate flowers, in pink to represent the delicacy and love for the family. The dark blue, which I loved, I used to separate the green and highlight the petals. The yellow dots looking for harmony with the color of the letter.

Después de visualizar cómo iba, continué haciendo el trabajo, incorporando un delgado círculo en tono rosa, decorado con una serie de "equis" de color lila.

After visualizing how it was going, I continued to do the work by incorporating a thin circle in pink tone, decorated with a series of lilac "x's".

En el círculo siguiente, el patrón que utilicé fue el de flores de loto en color blanco, adornado con trazos en tono lila y gotas de agua de color violeta. Todo con un fondo naranja que hace contraste con los tonos claros. A partir de este círculo, sentí que todo era más fácil y fluyó todo más rápido.

In the next circle, the pattern I used was that of lotus flowers in white, embellished with lilac strokes and violet water droplets. All with an orange background that contrasts with the light tones. From this circle, I felt that everything was easier and flowed faster.

Continué el penúltimo círculo como si mi mano tuviera vida propia; haciendo unos triángulos que le dieran vida al sol, al que quise pintarlo de amarillo pero ese creyón daba un tono muy claro, por tal motivo le puse verde sobre un fondo verde claro para destacar la forma. El último círculo lo dibujé como delineador, coloreando en tono naranja con rayas verticales y para cerrar repasé de líneas con un marcador fino.

I continued the penultimate circle as if my hand had a life of its own; making some triangles that gave life to the sun, which I wanted to paint in yellow but that crayon gave a very light tone, for that reason I put green on a light green background to highlight the shape. The last circle I drew as an eyeliner, coloring it in orange tone with vertical stripes and to close I went over the lines with a fine marker.

Conclusión / Conclusion

Les cuento que una vez que encontré el camino de la concentración, me olvidé de comer; dicho sea de paso que la ansiedad de terminar el mándala fue también porque lo veía tan lindo 😻. Quise colocar más trazos pero me detuvo la mala calidad de los creyones.

Supongo que pintar con marcadores es mucho mejor o con creyones de mejor calidad. Sin embargo puedo afirmar que fue una experiencia muy bonita y estoy conforme con mi trabajo. No es necesario ser un artista para dibujar mándalas. Pienso que en la medida que se practiquen estos dibujos, aumenta la experiencia y las ganas de superar nuestras propias expectativas haciendo uno diferente cada vez.

I tell you that once I found the path of concentration, I forgot to eat; by the way, the anxiety to finish the Mandala was also because I saw it so beautiful 😻. I wanted to place more strokes but was stopped by the poor quality of the crayons.
I guess painting with markers is much better or with better quality crayons. However I can say that it was a very nice experience and I am happy with my work. It is not necessary to be an artist to draw mandalas. I think that as you practice these drawings, the experience increases and the desire to surpass your own expectations by making a different one each time.
