Happy Friday and welcome to the first weekend of December. I hope we have a great time this month of December. Hive blockchain continue to thrive while other blockchains are cracking.
It is beautiful that there is the opportunity to earn from fun and social activities. Looking back to Four months ago, when my friends told me about NFTs and how to start minting or buying them, I was already convinced but there was no funds to buy. I never knew that it was possible to own NFTs freely on the hive blockchain until I got serious with the Splinterlands community and game.
Yesterday, I saw a call in the splinterlands Discord for players to help vote for Splinterlands as the Best Card Game of the year award by Polkastarter, I knew it was time to tell my story on why I have to vote for Splinterlands game top win the award.
From a Crypto Novice to a Paid Learner
When I joined the splinterlands community, I was a crypto novice. I was still struggling with having to navigate my way through the hive blockchain and crytpo environment generally. However, stepping up my engagement with splinterlands game exposed me not only to gaming but to DeFi, GameFi all available within the splinterlands ecosystem.
I have a had the privilege of sharing my thoughts about blockchain gaming and my advances in the splinterlands as posts to earn crypto rewards. Splinterlands social media challenge posts have become the highest paying contents in my blog. This has drastically improved my Hive Power to over 275.
Splinterlands is Free-to-Play
Splinterlands as the next generation of collectible card games, allows players to collect, trade, and battle with provably scarce digital collectibles with real world value. All of the above can be done without a fee. It is free to play although with the option of paying $10 for spellbook.
So far actively playing splinterlands battles, buying cards and card packs and more, I am yet to pay $10 though earned over $100. A new user need not to be afraid of an initial investment capital in splinterlands game. One can start easily with sharing thoughts about the game like I am doing and you raise your initial investment funds for the game assets.

Active play of splinterlands battle require a set pf summoner and monster cards with different abilities. However, the game gives you a free set of summoner and monster card for the early stages of the battles for the novice and bronze leagues.
Below is a screenshot of my card deck with 11 playable summoner cards for battles. I don not own them but can use them for hundreds of battles where I can play win and earn points. Also, there are about 88 free to use monster cards for the battles too.

Without a Doubt, Splinterlands is Best P2E Card Game
I did not just vote splinterlands as Best Card game, but also as the Best in the Mobile game category. Without mincing words, Splinterlands game is the Best card game any interested player can have. Here is a summary of reasons to have splinterlands game win the award:
