Clouds Here, There and Everywhere
Clouds, in their different shapes and colors, are a fascinating and ever-changing natural phenomenon that has captivated the attention and imagination of musicians, poets, artists and scientists alike for centuries.
I usually travel to the city of Caracas, the capital of the country, for various reasons, among which I could mention personal errands, but the main reason and the one that attracts me the most, is to visit my two children who live and work there.
On one of those occasions, I had the opportunity to stay in an apartment located in the southeastern hills, where I had an incredible panoramic view of part of the city, as well as of El Avila National Park, today also known as Waraira Repano, the name given to it by the indigenous people who inhabited the area before the arrival of the Spanish colonizers in the early 16th century.
This mountain range located to the north separates Caracas from the shores of the Caribbean Sea, and has become an icon of the city and a source of pride for its inhabitants.
As I have described in previous posts, I usually process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the Picsart and Snapseed applications for cell phones.
Las nubes en sus diferentes formas y colores, son un fenómeno natural fascinante y en permanente cambio que ha cautivado por siglos la atención e imaginación de músicos, poetas, artistas y científicos por igual.
Suelo viajar a la ciudad de Caracas, la capital del país, por diversas razones, entre las que podría mencionar diligencias personales, pero el motivo principal y el que más me atrae, es el de visitar a mis dos hijos quienes viven y trabajan allá.
En una de esas ocasiones, tuve la oportunidad de alojarme en un apartamento ubicado en las colinas del sureste, donde tenía una increíble vista panorámica de una parte de la ciudad, así como del Parque Nacional El Avila, hoy en día también conocido como Waraira Repano, el nombre que le dieron los indígenas que habitaban en la zona antes de la llegada de los colonizadores españoles a principios del Siglo XVI.
Esta cadena montañosa ubicada al norte, separa a Caracas de las costas del Mar Caribe, y se ha convertido en un ícono de la ciudad y un motivo de orgullo para sus habitantes.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales acostumbro procesarlas haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para teléfonos móviles.
