Zap the water, a Holozing fanart!

Holo!

How's everyone doing? I'm having a great Sunday just by looking at the price of Hive haha. Finally, after a very long time it reached 40 cents again. I'm really happy to see this because I didn't expect it cross this price this fast so I was really skeptical when people told me it will pump haha. I'm glad that I was wrong and I hope this bullish season last as long as possible. Congratulations to all who were patient for so long. Now you can reap the benefits of your patience and hardwork hehe. Gotta say, Holozing development started in the right time. A very postive sign indeed for the web3 gamers.

Alright then, back to the art. This time Im drawing the water healer with a focus on her costume in mind. I wanted to make it look futuristic and cool so I designed her black top that way. This version involves lot of metal parts as well because it suits her overall design. As for her companion I was looking for a reference which had some space to add Zappit on the character's shoulder and eventually I found one from Pinterest yesterday. I choose Zappit this time because I saw a lack of Zappit X healer art in here so there you go hehe.

The Process

1000015768.png

  • Painted a rough sketch to get the pose right. After that I added all the healer clothes and accessories in there.

1000015769.png

  • Once I was satisfied with the sketch I made a clean lineart using penfade brush.

1000015758.png

  • As usual I painted the base colours and added the shades on skin as well.

1000015767.png

  • At this point I started rendering her face.

1000015766.png

  • Painted her lips, toned her skin colours a bit and renderered other areas of her skin. At this stage I fully painted her eyes and added highlights on them.

1000015755.png

  • Painted highlights on her face and hands. Started painting the darker shades on her top.

1000015757.png

  • Started blending the shades on her top using blur tool and added highlights using penfade and textured brush. The source of light is from the right so the character is shades according to that so there will be bounce light on her clothes so I painted them on her top using textured brush.

1000015763.png

  • After I finished painting the black areas of her top. I painted the blue areas on her top as well and then added a belt using chain brush. By using the same brush I added shadows on them as well. After finishing that I started painting her hair and white clothes.

1000015761.png

  • At this point I almost finished painting her hair and clothes by adding highlights and shadows using penfade brush and blending them using blur tool and airbrush. After I was done with that I made the Z belt buckle.

1000015760.png

  • Now it was time to paint the metalic chest logo. For this I painted grey as base colour then added white and dark grey strips on them.

1000015762.png

  • This is the part where it resembles metal. Now all I need to do is turn on alpha lock to avoid spillage and adjusted the blue inside the metal logo layer to get that nice metalic blur. Use the blur slider for better control. After that I used airbrush to paint the logo lineart to get the highlights done to make it look more 3 dimensional.

1000015765.png

  • Now it was time to render the cap. I decided to revert it back to reddit because blue compliments red plus It reminds me of Ash's Cap. I added the Z logo on the cap as well with some extras around it. Finally It was time to render the funny bunny. I painted the base colour on him first. If you notice the previous wip shots I already rendered his green eyes.

1000015759.png

  • To paint the dark shades I used multiply layer on top of the base layer. once I was done with it I corrected the shade colour to a bit more vibrant tone to fit the character.

1000015764.png

  • Used the characters itself as the background by putting them in an overlay mode with a dash of Gaussian blur. Note that In changed the hair rendering to a bit more colourful one because I didn't like the darker tone of the old one. I saw some lineart issues on Zappit as well so I fixed that too and now it was ready to share with you guys.
